I had never been to this salon before this experience, so I called ahead to see if they could soak off my acrylics and get a manicure that afternoon. When I went in and asked for a soak off and manicure, a man took me right away and kept asking if I wanted a pedicure or gel manicure, and I kept saying no. He started by filing off the polish and then PEELING OFF MY ACRYLIC NAILS. I was dumbfounded, and he did it so fast my nail beds looked terrible!! I asked him to not peel the other hand's nails off, and he just filed them down. Then, in about 5 minutes, he painted my nails TERRIBLY. Please see the photos attached. He completely rushed, not putting any oil on my nails, not letting the first coat dry, and painting two sloppy coats of color. He then rushed me over to the dryer and said he would come back to do top coat. I sat there and a minute later I turned around and he had taken another woman, so he rushed me off to get another client. Then about 5 minutes later while getting a warm towel for the woman (which I never got), he painted one of my hand's top coat, then walked back with the hot towel to the woman. A couple minutes later, he snuck back to me and painted another top coat. This place was busy but not crowded; there was no reason why he had to rush me off. So when I go to pay, I wanted to complain to the manager. I told the man that the guy who did my nails peeled them off, and he did a bad job painting them. He fought with me, saying that is how they take off acrylic nails and I told him it literally hurt and it's bad for your nails. He offered me $5 off and I said that I was not going to pay for the soaking, since they did not soak off my nails. I told him "He just peeled off my nails and then painted them... I could've done that" and he responded "Then why didn't you?" After arguing with him for a few minutes, he angrily said he would just charge me for the manicure. I shouldn't have paid because my nails looked TERRIBLE. The workers are so rude and terrible at their job, and all they care about it money. I was in the salon for a total of 20 MINUTES for a soaking and a manicure, and when I left there was still filing dust on my fingers because he didn't actually do a manicure!! That is ridiculous!! I was not treated with the same respect everyone else there was receiving; save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Yesterday after work I decided to go get my nails done (I made an appt for 6pm) got there early ok no problem. I was there and a girl no more than 16 had gotten her nails done and she didn’t like the way they were done. Her mom came in and was complaining because at the end of the day she paid money for them. Parlin nails closes at 7pm by the way. So I get into the chair by 610 ok cool I showed the girl the picture of the nails I wanted and I asked her what color www similar . She picked the color and I wanted a black French tip. However like I said they closed at 7 I finished at 715 and by the time I seen the finished product I hated it but didn’t want to be rude and I knew they were closed. I literally starred at my nails all night to try to convince myself I liked something I hated and paid $68 for and a $5 tip! I’m paying for the service so I should be getting what I want and like. I called Eric the owner this morning and he told That it’s my fault and he would be charging me to fix my nails. I explained to him I come there all the time and bring family and friends and I don’t think it’s fair how he’s handling the situation, so I will dispute my charge of the service and let my friends and family to no longer go there. I asked him if he would fix my nails and he said no and hung up. Terrible terrible service and my nails are horrible ! Looks like dollar stores foundation was painted on my nails !

If I could give ZERO I would. My first and LAST visit to this wanna be salon was last Saturday September 6, 2025. First off, my appointment was for 9am. I walk in and none of the 3 workers there even said good morning. I walk in further and finally the lady pictured sleeping on the desk asks if I have an appointment. I said yes for a fill and pedicure. She then asks with who? It was my first time there so she calls this kid out of the back that looks like he’s 15 to do my pedicure. I find out from him that he’s “practicing”. Are you kidding me??? You have 3 people doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and you bring out someone to practice on me??? You didn’t charge me a practice price!!! Then I get some older guy with glasses that took FOREVER AND A DAY to do my fill!! I have gel. He was automatically going to use acrylic. He did a terrible job to boot. Finally finished left after a 2-1/2 appointment!!! 2-1/2 HOURS PEOPLE!!! One of my nails broke the very next day. And they did fix it for no charge, but there is so little gel on it but it literally just looks like he painted over the Tip. It is NOW CRACKED AGAIN and I’ve got to find a good place to go to since this place sucks! They are rude too!! I wouldn’t even let them do my nails for free! Save you TIME and MONEY and go somewhere else. Believe me, you’ll thank me later.

I’ve been coming to Parlin Nails for awhile now. Though precovid pandemic, I did vow to look somewhere else. Staff are friendly but the quality of work are the same, I always get the gel mani and it never fails, that there are smudges left on my skin that they don’t simply clean. Now, when the announcement was made that nail salons can open, I didn’t jump on making the appointment. After a few weeks, finally made that appointment and I have a few concerns. Partitions are great, protecting the staff and customer. Asked to use the hand sanitizer and I obliged, but no alcohol smell at all. I was ushered to the empty chair at the pedicure station there were 3 other customers already and I asked the gentleman If the seats were disinfected. He said yes and I took his word for it. A few minutes later, I saw this young woman without mask casually walked in started a conversation with the employees. She sat on his station and stood up took a mask and walked back to her station and placed the mask in her drawer. It was concerning. The lady on my left was done with her pedicure and she went to the manicure station now. Then the unmask woman, went to sit on the chair that was just unoccupied. I was finished with my pedicure and now I headed to the manicure station by the wall next to the lady who was on my left. Before I could even sit, I had to clear out the are because 3 chairs were blocking my way, plus there was a box of supplies on the floor. Just tried to observe how are they going to disinfect the area that I just left, the answer was no disinfection happened. No wiping down of the chairs and.the arm rest. The unmask lady still sitting there oblivious to her surroundings. I walk towards and he and said “I’m sorry, but all of us here are wearing a mask and you’re not”. She was caught off guard stood up and walked towards the back. No disinfection is happening. A new client walked in and sat on that chair. I’m not here to badmouth this nail salon, but there are guidelines that needed to be followed by both employees and customers. There’s on place for complacency. You still need to be vigilant on how you can keep you salon clean and safe for everyone. I saw the Barbicide certification on the wall, “what does this certification do? Or is it some certification that you need to obtain so...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I went in for a manicure and a pedicure which I had booked 3 weeks prior. There was absolutely NO COVID safty measurements put in place. I sat down for my manicure & there was stuff there from the previous customer. The girl doing my manicure and pedicure made zero effort to let feet or hands soak in order to soften skin to clean them up. Not to mention that the water was ICE COLD, after mentioning something it was MAYBE raised to luke warm which was also changed with an attitude. My entire manicure process was less then 5 mins and I was told that I had to clean under my own nails and scrub them in the sink????? Everything was so rushed and unprofessional, the hot towels were cold, all my nails had bubbles in them, my toe nail had a brush particle in it that she sealed with top coat, the list is endless. I was so fed up with the whole experience I just didn’t even care to say anything anymore I just wanted to be done with it and leave. I voiced my concerns to the owner prior to leaving and there wasn’t much of a reaction, I didn’t challenge it because I didn’t want to cause a scene. Oh and the best part is the owner tried to make me download Venmo so that I could pay that way, constantly trying to sway me into paying for the service that I didn’t even think deserved to be paid for. So i called to voice my concern and explain that I was very unhappy with the service and it was one of the worst experiences and he just brushed it off, not giving the slightest care in the world. This was my first manicure in a year and it’s so sad to say this was the experience I had. LASTLY, I noticed that the management copies and pastes the same exact responses to people who have left reviews. I would actually appreciate a...
