Weston Park — Attraction in Scranton

Pool just re-opened today, when I heard I had to take my fianceé and daughter down for some swim time. With most of the other pools being closed, it's so refreshing to have one open in North Scranton somewhere. And it's decently deep, 13 feet at the furthest end, with a diving board!

Sometime ago some friends and I chipped in and rented the indoor pool for one hour. Since no one rented the next hour we were allowed for free.We needed something to dive for so we used my ring. I made it out of a 3/4 nut, ground and polished it and soldered Lincoln’s head from a penny on the face.Tossed it in too late , we had to get out, lost it. Always wondered if someone found it. The city of Scranton could and should do more for the people that use it. The baseball field and pool are used quite alot in the summer yet there isn't a proper restroom or stand to purchase anything. There is more room than you might think in the park.
