Dee Jay’s Hoagie’s & Pizza — Restaurant in Scranton

I have been getting wings from Dee Jays' for years now. They are truly at the top in quality & consistency in the area. Tonight I went online to see what other options there were in addition to my usual order. To my surprise I saw these negative reviews. I just can't imagine why. In all the years I have ordered from here, whether eating in or ordering it to go, the customer service & the food have always been beyond outstanding! A few weeks ago, without realizing, I showed up 5 minutes before they were closing & they still provided outstanding service & food.....our wings were incredibly delicious & the service didn't miss a beat. I'm guessing maybe its the competitors writing these negative reviews because in the many years I have been a customer, never ever once did I have bad experience. Not once. I am the last person to leave a bad review if a mistake has been made, but this was downright ignorance !!! my dear friend and neighbor places an order a week in advance & confirmed it prior to the day of delivery & it NEVER SHOWED UP!!! They NEVER answered their phone when she called to check on it & hours later when they decided to pick up the phone … get this …. THE OWNER STATES HE GOT SLAMMED WITH ORDERS & just ignored the LARGE ORDER $$$ that was placed prior to any others !!! The day was VERY DIFFICULT to begin with … our friend was attempting to celebrate her deceased husbands birthday & what would have been their 34th wedding anniversary & the total lack of respect for her by the owner made a tough day so much with worse !!! Shame on him …. He should be so ashamed & NEEDS TO REACH OUT WITH A HEARTFELT APOLOGY!!! Not a pathetic … sorry …...

This place is a true hidden gem in scranton! I've been going here for a long long time whenever im working in the area. It's a small hole in the wall with great food and always a friendly smile behind the counter 😀. Usually in and out fairly quick no matter what you order,during lunch they get a little busy but you know your going to get something good to eat.
