Just moved to the area and have a bowling alley not 2 minutes up the road from me. My roommate and I have been going weekly now and I decided I should probably purchase my first ball as I have big hands and none of the house balls fit my hand and to practice consistency. I found Sports Medley and decided to stop by and see what they had. Just told them my situation straight up and told em I basically knew nothing about bowling balls. They didn't make me feel stupid at all. Just asked me some basic questions and pointed me towards a ball they thought would be best for me. Ordered my ball on the spot and about two weeks later I was coming in to get fitted and drilled. after bowling with house balls, I always have swollen fingers. after getting my own custom ball with fitted fingertips, I can bowl with a much heavier ball for much longer without any hand fatigue. I was pretty happy hitting 80s and 90s in the weeks leading to getting my own ball. I took my new ball straight from the shop to the alley and within 5 frames, finally got the spin down that ive been trying to achieve for weeks. Every game I played that first night, was over 100. Obviously that's nothing special but the immediate improvement was incredible to see and feel. The boys at Sports Medley, treat you right and the customer support cant be beat. He told me if there's anything i needed or if the ball didn't feel right to bring it right back for them to fix. Thank you Sports Medley....
Read moreFirst of all I want to say that I'm new to bowling. Just 5 months. I went to the pro shop at the bowling lanes where I bowl during the leagues and got my ball. It but up my thumb withe first ball. I went back to the pro shop which I won't name and was told to use tape. Got my fingertip ball and was again told the same. That's when I had had enough. I looked for options and that is when I was referred to Sports medley pro shop! The time that Dave the proprietor took to fit and drill the ball that I got would have had the other pro shop have 4 customers out the door! It was good! My thumb doesn't hurt anymore and I was assured that if I have any problems that it would be fixed. Yontop if off my bill 2as $40 less with taxes at Daves's. So folks if you want personal attention and are serious about bolwing, visit Dave's shop. It's on boulevard ave! Give it a shot. You...
Read moreI bought my first ball at the alley I bowl at and I got it drilled there also, I used to think the ball was special until it started hurting my fingers and my hand... I decided I wouldnt take my next ball there. I looked up a shop that was open and happen to find Dave open on a Saturday. He took 1 look at the ball and 1 look at my hand and the first thing he asked is does this ball give me finger problems. He was right on the money with his information and his recommendations. He drilled my new ball with finger inserts specifically meant for me and I have no pains or regrets, and he also recommended bringing my other ball back for proper repair and maintenance. Might I add that it was worth the wait and his service is 100% professional. If you want it done right the first time take it to Dave. Thanks again you are the...
