One of my favorite beaches on the Jersey Shore! Sea Bright Beach has become one of my go-to spots for a relaxing day by the ocean. It’s close, clean, and has just the right mix of convenience and charm.
Parking is easy to find and reasonably priced at $2 per hour. There are restrooms on-site, which also serve as changing rooms super handy for families like mine.
There’s a beach access fee, but after 3 PM it’s usually free, which makes it a great option for a late afternoon visit. On this trip, the water was cold, but it was a sunny and very hot day perfect beach weather. My daughter and I both had a great time.
One of the things I really appreciate here is the shower setup. There are six full body outdoor showers off after a swim, plus indoor foot showers to remove the sand before you leave.
If you get hungry, there are plenty of local restaurants just a short walk away on the main road. It’s easy to grab a bite without having to drive anywhere.

Read moreOvercrowded, expensive and rude staff. Got on the beach about to pay when some woman working there named Susie comes running over to yell about a single balloon I had. No balloons allowed on beach, I figure okay no problem. She said walk it back to your car or pop it. I said I’m going to tie it up and grab it when we leave. She goes “if you tie it up I’m going to pop it.” She wouldn’t stop harassing us while she had her dog with her and we left our own dog home because they’re not allowed on the beach in the summer. This woman’s disgusting treatment is unacceptable when we paid $50 to walk onto the beach and then get harassed over a balloon. This beach will never get a dime from me again, nobody deserves to be berated when they are trying to spend a quiet Sunday morning on a beach with...
Read moreLovely beach, almost feels like your at a resort. Clean water and beautiful sand. If you drive to where the GPS takes you, it’s easy to find parking and you can pay through app or use the machine.
BONUS: Muslim friendly due to access to a clean bathroom to make wudu and introvert/family friendly as it easy to be away from big crowds if you go over the hill to your right (next to the area where you will see a lot of green striped umbrellas).
PS: Strong waves when I went, I do not recommend for young children or non- swimmers. Great place for surfers…If your ok with staying on edge or you just want to soak up by the sun and relax , this is the place for you. Also, there were a lot of spotted laternflies so if your scared here...
