My wife and I orded 3 slices of pizza and a Ceasar salad and took a seat at one of the tables. We were wondering why it was taking so long for at last the pizza to come to us but maybe they were going to bring all the food at the same time. The young man who took our order brought the salad at which my wife ask about the 3 slices. His reply was there in the oven. Mind you now the two couples who came in after us were already eat pizza. We waited at lease another 5 minutes and still no pizza. I went back up to the counter to find out what happened to the pizza. At that moment the young man, another work and a pizza delivery man were all standing around talking while there was a line of customers waiting. Were even the gentleman making the pizza scolded them for standing around instead of taking care of the customers. I asked the same young man if my pizza was still in the oven. His response was what pie did you order. Really... I calmly told him what my order was I reminded him when you brought our salad you told us it was in the oven. At that point he dismisses me to help another customer. My wife now jumped in and ask him why are you not serving us first. At which a man came storming out from the back to find out what was happening. Which he introduced himself as the owner and we gave our displeasure as to our treatment by this employee. Which he took offense to because he told us that he was his son. At that point we could no longer reason with him so we left. I'm a reasonable person but to wait 20 minutes for 3 slices of pizza to be served to you? A simple oh I'm sorry for the misunderstanding we'll get that to you right away would have been the right way for an owner to handle that. He was more annoyed at the fact that we criticized the service his son...
Read moreAfter a mission to the Twin Lights in Highlands, NJ with my Nephew Marty and his son Nicholas we stopped at Sea Bright Pizza for a nice lunch - never there before but wanted to try - close to Twin Lights. Sea Bright Pizza is located right on Ocean Ave in Sea Bright - parking was easy. Once we walked in, right away I knew we were in for a treat. The smell of good food filled the space. The restaurant is old world - original red brick walls and pressed copper ceiling. The entire kitchen is visible from the front where there are tables. We ordered a Meatball Parmigiana sub and a large pizza with meatballs and sausage. In the time we were there several people came in to pick up orders. I went in the back with my nephew's son to wash up and happen to pass one of the chefs preparing the ingredients for meatballs. In a large steel bowl, I saw the ground beef, cheese, parsley as the chef was cracking fresh eggs into the mix. Glancing at the prep for these Home style meatballs made me even more anxious for the Meatball Parm that was on the way. The sub was on the table when we joined my nephew Marty - cut in 3 pieces we dug in. Man, Oh Man! - Fagetaboudit! - I am 74 years old - grew up in an Italian home - and I know the best food is usually at home. The sub and the meatball/sausage pizza was far superior to 99% of other Pizza restaurants I've been to over the years. The pizza was generously topped - delicious and cooked to perfection - the crust was crispy, and the flavor combination was old world special. We ate everything! Including the crust. We were all full and satisfied but I still could have eaten more. What a treat! We will return. Hats off to Nick at Sea Bright...
Read moreIf I could give this place -5 stars I would. I walk in with my family, being the first time here. I asked the man behind the counter how they sell their pizza? He replies in squares and triangles. So I said OK we will take three slices of squares. He charges us $15. I then asked how much is a whole pie? He replies $25. I said then I will take a whole pie for just $10 more. He takes the money rings the sale, then nonchalantly tells me that it will take 30 minutes for a whole pie. i replied, then why didn't you tell me that before you rang the sale? He rudely answered me in an obnoxious way in front of my young children telling me that he told other people ahead of me that it was gonna take 30 minutes for a pie and I should have listened. I then said well you didn't tell me and I would never have ordered it if it was gonna be a 30 minute wait. So I said just give me the 3 square slices right now instead. He throws the 3 slices at me and doesn't give me back the difference until I asked him for it. The attitude, the rudeness, and the overall service was something that I haven't seen in quite a while. Not to mention the taste of this pizza. I wouldn't even give it one and a half stars, especially after we regularly eat at Vic's Pizza in Bradley Beach which blows this pizza away, not to mention their outstanding customer service. In running a business customer service is number one. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know, and would actually go out of my way to make sure people that do go...
