Beach town area of seniors and families with young children. Chill beach. So if you're in the 18 to 30s age, you'll feel awkard out walking around the beach in a bikini. Sand is full of broken seashells, less crowded beach.
North of the pier is End River Cafe area. Its open in the summer. BE CAREFUL OF STING RAY in the summer in this area and all of seal beach, apparently its a top area with it. Hughly recommend swimming close to life guards. They average 5 string ray incidents a day in the summer and can go up to 20!
You will always be able to find parking even blocks away for free vs other beaches. But for closer parking, its about $1.50 an hour. Free public restrooms by either End River Cafe or underneath right side of pier.
Simple beach and not urbanized like huntington and newport. Use to live close by and come chill here. Empty during the weekdays. Lifeguards are super nice, service is impeccable. Helped us with a sting ray injury. Super sweet folks here, even got water for our dog
Kite surfing area near...
Read moreWhen we arrived a trump rally was taking place didn't mind it but kinda ruined the beach experience. We were there to fish and had a blast everyone there seemed to have caught something. But as we left we were greeted by a fellow fisher man and started talking about the fishing as we walk down the pier we see parking enforcement writing tickets so we start to head to are car a lil faster pace but my bf has a bad leg so cant really run to car and leave him with everything and as we get to the car we are literally 3 mins late and the man was literally waiting by are car to write the ticket i didn't think they would ever do something like this to someone who is handicap but he had no shame when he was talking it out with my bf and said he could do nothing for him that we would have to call parking enforcement and talk with them about it. Seal beach is a nice place to take the kids and have fun but they need some help in the parking...
Read moreThis is a great little park and playground at the end of Main Street in Seal Beach. The playground is geared towards small children and sits down low just south of the beginning of the pier. There are nearby restrooms under the pier. Up at street level are parks to the north and south of the pier. Often those parks are the site of local events like movies and cook-offs. Stroll along the pier as part of a stroll along Main Street with all its quaint shops and restaurants. There is a limited amount of short-term parking along the streets (1 or 2 hours). However, 2 hour and all-day parking is available adjacent to the pier for a fee ($3 and $10). There is also a small fee-based lot on the south side of Main Street in the first block. And, of course, there is the big beach with volleyball courts, places to wade, layout, surf, boogie Board, windsurf,...
