Their food is overpriced now. It use to be good food for a good reasonable price. The service was bad. Just had a second experience that was bad at the Seal Beach location. When the waiter didn't write down our order I should have known it would be wrong. He even cam back and asked me a second time what I ordered. It took forever to get it, the people who ordered just before he took our order had already finished and paid their bill by the time we got our order. My daughter's order was wrong and she was given beans when she asked for a sm side of rice. My order was wrong also and even after telling the waiter I wanted beef twice I was given chicken, then 20ish min after giving it to us I had to flag him down to tell him mine was wrong because he never came back, he then said was it suppose to be pork? At this point I said nevermind I didn't want it anymore. When he presented the bill he acted like it was a big deal he took my food off the bill. I almost lost my temper because of the way he said it to me. He was all cocky and kinda condescending. They were not busy at all. It's disappointing because this use to be one of my favorite places to eat. Two strikes and I'm not...
Read moreWe stopped in for the Carne Asada and the Hang 10 cocktail and lucked out by arriving during happy hour — affordable and perfect for our food needs. As a light eater, I was thrilled. The cocktails are made with wine instead of hard liquor, which was surprisingly refreshing and ideal for a midday beach outing. This spot is perfect for wine lovers and taco enthusiasts alike.
The meat was exceptionally tender, never dry, and the salsa was spot-on. Ingredients were fresh and vibrant, and the portion sizes were satisfying without feeling overwhelming — perfect for lighter appetites. We were even offered more chips after we’d already finished our meal and paid, which was such a thoughtful touch. Franky gave exceptional service!
The bathrooms were clean (not just masked with air freshener), and the service felt genuinely attentive. While we came for the Carne Asada, we learned they’re especially known for their fish tacos and that they have a second location serving the same drinks but with hard liquor.
A wonderful beachside find — fresh, flavorful, and...
Read morethis was my first visit to the Seal Beach Taco Surf. I've been to the one in Sunset Beach multiple times and have always had a good experience. It's been awhile since I've been to the one in Sunset Beach but my husband and I used to frequent as we follow the band that played there. My son wife and grandchildren have sense started going to talk with her as well. I visited the Taco Surf in Seal Beach on a recommendation from an out-of-town visitor from Sacramento. as I had already eaten at the Sunset Beach location I was willing to eat at the Seal Beach location. We were there at lunch time during the week. as it was lunch time it was a little busy but not jam-packed crazy. Which made me super happy. I give Taco Surf five stars because they deserve 5 Stars!...
