Seattle's Gorgeous Fall 🍂

Great huge space. Section off for big dogs that has an obstacle course. A smaller dog section that has some stuff inside as well for the dogs to interact. The sections for the big dogs is about two soccer fields. The small dog section is about 30 feet. This area also has hug grass Hill. A park of children to play on. Art sculptures and other Seattle views. Different a popular dog park. I went once with my dog and we both like to keep going back. The general crowd is nice and the dogs are well behavioral.

Great mix of open space and sports fields—plenty of room to spread out or kick a ball around. Peaceful trails with views of the Duwamish and Mount Rainier if the sky’s clear. Playground’s solid, and the park stays clean and well-kept. At 42 acres, it’s perfect for a walk, a game, or just relaxing on a nice day. It’s also one of my favorite spots to take our dog—lots of space for her to run around and enjoy the outdoors.

It's very unfortunate. I grew up here in this part of town and love the west seattle area, but coming to watch friends, play softball at these fields was very sad. We go to other fields all around the Seattle area, So from that perspective, these fields are in extremely bad condition. The fields are dusty and dirty people are drinking heavily discarding beer, cans, bottles, et cetera and smoking Weed everywhere, I am not a hater f9r fun, but goodness Let's clean up our own mess at last right. The fields themselves are in very rough condition. There's no batter's box that anyone can see, the infield is extremely dusty. Nobody waters it down. Dust is flying everywhere and the grass is definitely not well kept to say the least. Then there's the bathroom, there's literally a brand new bathroom building up there by field three but it's all chained up closed up et cetera, no porta potties present. How are people and kids supposed to be there with no bathrooms???? There are porta pottes in the lower pee wee fields better locked up unless there's a game in play and those are a long ways away down a long, dusty dirty road from the main field area. It's unfortunate and clear. The city has just not picked this park to spend any money...

Medium sized park with sports facilities and a lot of other amenities. A walking trail extends the length of the park, North/South. Trails into the West Duwamish Greenbelt can be accessed from the North end of the Pee Wee fields.

8 Baseball fields (4 fields on 12 Ave SW, and 4 Pee Wee fields down SW Myrtle St to the East). Two Tennis courts. One outdoor Basketball court. 4 - 8 small Soccer fields utilize the outfield areas of the 4 main baseball fields. Soccer field lines are drawn seasonally and goals are set up on game days and then locked to the outfield fence. The fields are maintained by West Seattle Baseball and West Seattle Soccer Club. The grass turf can be hard and very uneven.

2 playground structures (one for younger and one for older kids) plus a swing set that includes one...

This park has not changed much over the last thirty or so years since I've been visiting it. The paved path is bumpier and has more cracks in it, likewise the tennis and basketball courts. The views of the Duwamish River are now mostly obscured by trees. The playground seems to be in good shape and there is access to the West Duwamish Greenbelt trails making it an acceptable place for kids and dogs alike. Restrooms are near the south parking lot, not near the playground and are closed dusk to dawn. Picnic tables are near the playground, north parking lot. Both parking lots are locked at night and are wheelchair accessible, there is some onstreet...
