Currently my only experience with this school has been through the online portion. So Due to moving a lot in my life I have had the opportunity to attend 4 different colleges and one of them specifically dealing in online schooling.
So let me first start off by saying that at least for the 2 classes i took this quarter online instruction is just simply terrible. It's almost non existent and that on top of that online learning resources such as videos/ tutorials / power points for the most part are not provided. For some of the easier material there might be some information but i kid you not, the videos in my math class were from like the 1950s and what was even worse is there were several times where they taught me wrong and then the online "Help me solve this" taught me the correct way to answer the problems. So if you are a student that needs instruction, or relys off of visual or auditory learning i would highly recommend that you do not take online classes unless you are comfortable searching the internet/khan academy for answers. To be as blunt as humanly possible if you go to this school for online schooling be prepared that your only real resource will be your text book.
So with that said despite the online portion of the school being extremely lackluster the content of the material is solid. The textbooks are actually the best I have ever had in my college career so i was a little surprised especially coming from a community college. The school is also extremely flexible when it comes to class schedules but that is a pro/con situation as they have several openings for class times but if they don't get enough people for them they then cancel that class without warning you (happened to me this quarter) . Which at this point you might be wondering why my review is 3 stars and is due to their excellent staff at the school despite the many hiccups the school has had its been a relatively pain free process dealing with staff and getting issues resolved. I'm positive that if you were to attend the classes in person this would be a fantastic school, however if work and family life limit your availability and your stuck with online schooling it becomes a really hard decision whether to attend this school or not. For me personally i will continue to attend, but i do have to base that largely on the fact that my work pays for the school and the fact that i'm a tactile learner. Thus sitting in a classroom never benefited me...
Read moreFeels like home😀! Read some of the older reviews and I must say, I don't know about four years ago what the daycare at sscc was like but it must have improved since. I recently had my two year old there for spring quarter and it was a great place. The staff are friendly, sweet and very careing of both the children and parent students they serve. Even the student volunteers are very helpful. My daughter got use to it quick even tho she cried at first. I would stay by to see her reaction after I would "leave" and she would stop crying immediately the staff was very comforting to her. As for the food it is very diverse they even give them hummus and pitta bread for snack....yummm! They now have very comfortable looking mats (I dont know what they are called but they are raised off the floor). The best part is it is quality care for a very very student friendly price. I love how they work with your schedual and are not so anal if your running a little late. My daughter is now back to her other regular daycare because it is full time(which is what I need right now) but thank you so much to Carol and Lisa and the other ladies at SSCC daycare center for treating us so great and being there when i really needed a good daycare. I would not hesitate to take her back if needed. The only reason for my -1 🌟 is since the review is for SSCC I have had a few great teachers here in the last few years but I have also had too many not so great teachers 👎. So bad I had to withdraw and take...

Hey South Seattle! Thanks for being literally the only college out of 5 that wouldn't electronically send my transcript to a 4 year. It really shows how behind the times your school is and quite telling that some podunk Indiana college has capabilities that you don't, by comparison. I bet you REALLY care about needing that stupid wax seal on your cute little official transcripts, perpetuating the sincere disconnect the college industrial complex and the students that they crookedly service.
Hope you're ready to wait in line for hours to get an advisor because they haven't been on the same page with my advice. One person says walk in only, the other says to schedule one. Also they clearly didn't read my email when I was asking which classes I would be eligible for (I'm a transfer student)... Not a good first...
