Just before COVID 19 really started in the US, we did this lovely Pike Place Market Food Tour with Marcia. We visited a total of 11 different locations and could taste a lot of different and tasty food and drinks. As it was (unfortunately) our only day in Seattle on our Road Trip it was great, that we also learned a lot about the city and its history. We were 3 couples and the very kind and vibrant and knowledgeable Marcia, who showed us Seattle and let us taste so many lovely things, from smoked salmon to Black Truffle to Lemon Curd and so many more delicious things. Very recommended, it is a great tour to explore the city and the market and its food. You also have a lot of restaurants and local shops you can visit after the tour to support them and try even more tasty food :)

This was a great food tour. If you’re only in Seattle for a day or weekend, definitely book this tour. Held at Pike Place market which is next to the waterfront, the view was really nice and parking is available directly next to the market. Chip was our guide and he was excellent. It’s only two hours, about $62pp USD on Viator, and we had 10 different tastings. We loved hearing the history of the market and the background of the shops we visited. Also, we had the opportunity to buy alcohol along the tour (at our own expense). There was more sweet than savory but the savory tastes were larger and absolutely delicious. From pulled pork to fried cod to the best New England clam chowder I’ve ever had from a James Beard award winner, this tour was worth it. Do It!

What an amazing, comprehensive, FUN, tour w Show Me Seattle. I live in Seattle, but have never taken a tour. I joined the Show Me Seattle 3-hour City Tour. My goodness, what an awesome tour. We covered so many different neighborhoods and areas of Seattle, seeing dozens of famous spots and landmarks. I enjoyed our several stops to get out, stretch and take photographs of stunning vistas. we covered Downtown Seattle, the waterfront, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, International District, Fremont, Ballard and Queen Anne. WOW! Our guide, Neil was truly one of the best guides I've ever seen. He kept us safe, entertained, and immersed in facts about Seattle. Can not recommend this tour highly enough!

This was such an excellent tour in so many ways: I called in the morning and was able to book a tour for the same afternoon with no trouble. Marcia, our tour guide, texted in advance to check about mobility issues and dietary restrictions, as well as tell us where to meet. She was so lovely, friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the market and all the businesses we stopped at. I am vegetarian and we had another person with dietary restrictions in our group, and Marcia was extremely careful and considerate about ensuring there were options for both of us and that we got to enjoy everything.

We managed to fit in 11 tastings, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Everything was EXCELLENT and the samosas were the best I've ever had. I learned so much about the story of the market and the people who helped it grow and flourish. Of course we also saw the stand where they toss the fish and where the diner scene from Sleepless in Seattle was shot, as well.

I try to take a food tour in whatever city I'm visiting and this one is absolutely one of the best. The icing on the cake is that Marcia sent a written summary in an email later listing all the places we stopped and what we had so we could return and wouldn't forget anything. Can't recommend it highly enough!! Thank...

UPDATE!

We are back from our trip to Alaska ending in Seattle. OMG!! Our tour guide, James was freaking AWESOME! It was well worth every dime and more for our Private tour. James was patient with my family (Even when I was not LOL). He explained the history of Seattle as well as current events. He was so interesting on our tour that bystanders that were not part of our group stopped to listen while at Ballard Locks. James gave great recommendations on places to try at Pike Place Market and he was right!

I am so happy that we decided to book with Show Me Seattle as it really was one of the best parts of our vacation. Since my return, I have referred two other families to them. I am very careful about what and whom I refer people to because that is my name on the line and I have no pause when it comes to Show Me Seattle. Thank you Dan and James for making our trip memorable. I plan to schedule with you again in the future. God bless.

I am so excited to be able to see Seattle. I have been looking forward to it for a very long time. I will be taking a Private tour with Show Me Seattle on August 30, 2019. So far the interaction with Dan Lishner has been great. Let's see how the tour goes!!!...

My husband booked this tour, under the impression that we were going to be entering the market before everyone else was allowed, as some sort of VIP experience, but that was not the case and I still cannot figure out where the misunderstanding occurred, however, we were fortunate enough to have Lucky as our guide, he made feel the 2 hour tour like a 30 minutes one, great pace, great knowledge about the city and the market's history and a very educational experience. The food samples were really good and we came back to shop in at least 2 of those shops and establishments he showed us. I would recommend Lucky to any new and first time visitors to this great city with such a rich history, where this market feels like the star of its modern metropolis. One suggestion to the manager/s: offer to your customers the "Before the crowds come private tour" and I'm sure that you will have a lot of people signing up for it. With the tour we got a 10% discount in almost all the places that we visited while trying their samples, which was great! Thank you Lucky for sharing your knowledge and...
