Not only was my reservation not found when I arrived, they charged me for an extra night, when I asked this the lady just said sorry and continued staring at her computer screen, so I will be disputing this charge with my bank and getting refunded. Next, the room they put me in had a broken air conditioning unit, drywall dust and screws all over the floor, cables and wires hanging out of the walls and was directly adjoining with their staff break room where their graveyard shift guy watched a movie on a tablet all night long that was so loud I could hear every word, staff constantly slamming lockers and talking loudly throughout the night and very early morning. When I asked to be moved to a room with a working air conditioning unit, the lady acted like she just couldn't be bothered to help me. After emerging from the back room 5 minutes later, she told me they would have a room some time later on the afternoon but didn't know when so just check back between 1&2, understandable, rooms must be cleaned, but not in this hotel, apparently. Once inside my second room, the AC worked, barely, but again there were wires protruding from the floor and it smelled like spoiled milk and horrible body odor, I powered through the first night and when I addressed the issue the next morning, the same lady that didn't want to be bothered the day before was sitting at the front desk watching what appeared to be YouTube on her phone, she glanced up at me, back down to her video, after about 10 seconds she paused it, looked back and said "yes". I informed of the odor and once again, she gave me the standard "sorry" and asked if I wanted to change rooms again but not in a professional way, more like a "really? Can't you just deal with the nasty stink"? Kind of way. I told her if the house cleaning service wasn't able to get rid of the smell then I would like to switch rooms, luckily, upon returning later that evening the smell was kind of gone due to a large amount air freshener, but it did not completely dissipate, but having only one more night to stay I just dealt with it, for the sake of just not wanting to deal with the snotty receptionist again. The complimentary breakfast was crappy, microwaved rubber eggs and sausage, the waffles were ok and so was all the premade prepackaged garbage. The management office, in full view of the reception desk, had a hand written sign on it that said Goals 1: Revenue 2: Make customers happy I believe those should be in reverse order but that's just me. I will never stay at this location again, I'll pay the extra money to stay in...

At check in on Sat approx. 3:30pm the young man behind the desk was having technical issues beyond his control, and he was on the phone with "tech support" he was clearly irritated, but never let that affect his interactions with us or the others that were waiting.
My only issue with room 314 were the several large stains in the carpet, but as I always wear shower shoes whenever I travel it was just very unsightly!
(Note: I called the hotel earlier today to check on another matter and when I mentioned the stains the woman blamed the "high occupancy" due to the recent relaxing of the travel restrictions as the reason?)
Additionally the website mentions "breakfast" but when I asked about it Sunday morning, I was told by the woman sitting behind counter advised that, "It's no longer available!" When I replied, "the website should be updated!" She responded, "we do have 'go bags' available!" However she never asked if I would like one or made any attempt to get one for me. I imagine she was too busy sitting behind the counter, scrolling on her phone.
As usual the housekeeping staff were the most cordial employees...quick to engage and offer a smile, they and the young man who checked me in on Saturday afternoon get 💫💫💫💫💫
However the filthy carpet, and the desk clerk on Sunday who made no effort to be hospitable receive 💫
I travel alot and I've also managed within the hospitality industry for many years, and I'm still amazed how often workers within the industey aren't very hospitable, and some even down right rude!
Would I stay here again, only if it was the only option available...lucky for...
Read moreI could not wait to get home to write this review. This place was DIRTY!!!! I have stayed here about 3x. The first time several years ago, it was brand new-everything perfect, The last 2x I noticed under new management and things had changed--As long as my room was clean I could do without the extra's. This past experience was horrible. The rooms are dirty--Sheets and towels old and dingy-yellow and beige! smells old inside, White curtain was dirty-visible dirt or dust, shower was old-baseboard dirty and dusty no one ever cleans there. 1 small little bar of soap to wash hands, nothing to put the bar of soap, you have to lye on the sink. The hallway between rooms has NOT been vacumed- dust balls, lil papers. And you know what we noticed - I never saw a cleaning person not even a cart--especially on Sunday morning when we left at 9 am..The AC was so loud- old old--The hotel lobby is about 85 degrees- they keep the AC off in there, They never gave me a recpt until I asked for one to verify my charges-It appears they try to cut back everywhere- and let me tell you I give them credit for that--I did not sleep well because I felt so uncomfortable in the dirty room. We will NEVER stay there again--in fact I think Best Western needs to know about this- this is not right- The price was great $89 and believe me- we got less then what we paid for. It really bothers me that some people think this is ok to run a business like this. This was written by wife of Frank- Lorraine we also had 2 rooms this weekend- the other was bad too....
