I had my nails and toes done there 2 weeks ago and I’m pretty disappointed with my service. I showed them a gel manicure with a simple design on two fingers I was thinking of getting and they said they could do it no problem. I had nail polish with 1 light coat of clear gel on top that I did at home myself. I told her this several times. She proceeded to use the drill to remove it when all that was needed was a quick buffing and acetone. She cut my finger with the drill in the process, it burned my nail bed as she did it and no doubt did unnecessary damage to my nails. No cuticle care was ever done. She suggested I do dip instead of gel. I agreed, I do like dip better. She used the wrong color at first and then just did two layers of the correct color on top of it. She missed a few spots near the cuticle and sides of my nails. The design was beyond disappointing. No one was able to do it. Three people tried. They tried to do the detail with gel polish. I suggested several times that the gel is not meant for designs and won’t work for what they’re trying to do and they need to use regular polish for the design. The consistency of the gel was just blending together. It was literally a big glob on my nail. No one would listen to me when I tried to tell them to just use regular polish for the design. I finally told them to just finish with a top coat and forget the design. They did the clear gel top coat on all of my nails but didn’t wipe off the residue with alcohol so I left with them all tacky. I have product left all around my fingers as you can see in the photo. I had to go somewhere else to have the design done and the two white nails re done on each hand. I would have been fine doing something else if they would’ve told me the design was too difficult when I showed it to them. It was very clear none of them had experience with designs. I would’ve been fine with a plain color if they would’ve just told me that. I was charged full price for this service. Pictures to show the cut on my finger, residual product all over my fingers and how the dip didn’t cover my whole nail in some places. I’m posting this 2 weeks later to report that my nails were chipping within the week and even though I soaked them off, my nails are paper thin from her using the drill to take off my nail polish I had on before going in. I would say a pedicure is safe here but I had a friend go there today and had an awful experience with a simple pedicure. I won’t...
Read moreI've been debating about leaving a review or not. I went to the salon on 3 separate occasions. The first time for dip powder and pedicure. The gentleman who did my nails cut up my cuticles pretty badly to where blood was coming out and the shape was wrong. He did apologize for cutting me. I still left him a tip. My nails were chipping within 3 days as well.
I went back a second time to get them corrected for free which was nice as they stand by the quality of their work. Two women got on my nails and did a fantastic job correcting them. I was really pleased then. I figured it could have been just the nail tech having an off day so I wanted to go a third time to make a final determination.
I went back a third time to have a mani/pedi and have gel polish put on. She didn't start to soak off my dip powder nails until after the pedicure even though I told her I had them on before we started the pedicure. She would go back and forth between soaking them and using the dremel tool to remove the dip powder. I kept telling her she was burning my finger nails. I had burn marks under my nails and my nails were very thin.
While I was there another technician put clear polish as cuticle oil on another client while she was asking him "Is that clear coat?".
Within the first week after my third visit anytime my finger tips would touch anything suddenly I'd get an excruciating pain from the sensitivity. It has now been over a month and my nails are still not back to normal. Very fragile and crack in to my nail quick which I've never experienced. As much as I like the atmosphere at this salon it's too hit and miss for quality and the price you pay you should not have these issues.
I went for a manicure at a different salon last week to try to help toughen the nail and it still continues to crack. She asked me if I was sick or taking medication as my nails were breaking as she was doing them. I think I must have to let the nail grow out to normal thickness before it gets back to normal.
I wish the salon nothing but success but I will not be returning. Please don't solely use my review to determine if you try...
Read moreI decided to give Lavender a shot after my usual spot just wasn't cutting it anymore. I got my nails filled. They did a great job. I however messed up one nail getting into my vehicle. Went back in and someone else tried to spot fix it and I ultimately was unhappy with the fix, so they removed polish and redid that finger. While drying I spoke to who I believe was the owner, she was super nice and we had a nice conversation. Once dry I left, but I'm upon further inspection I noticed that my nail looked bubbly and 20 min after leaving it was still tacky. I called and explained and we all figured it was the top coat they used on that one nail, they said come back it in and we will fix it. When I went back in the lady I assumed was the owner fixed it up for me and used a better top coat. Turned out as perfect as the other 9 fingers. I'm so happy with how they turned out and everyone that I encountered at the salon were just as friendly the first time as they were the third, they never seemed frustrated and I feel that they genuinely wanted to make the moment right. I will be...
