07/22/2018 Canterbury Park was fortunate enough to host the final stop of the incredible music festival, the 2018 Vans Warped Tour Final Full Cross Country Tour. The festival featured many of my favorite bands like: 3OH!3, As It Is, Asking Alexandria, Assuming We Survive, Broadside, Capstan, Chase Atlantic, Chelsea Grin, Crown the Empire, Dayseeker, Deez Nuts, Doll Skin, Don Broco, Every Time I Die, Farewell Winters, Four Year Strong, Grayscale, Harm’s Way, Ice Nine Kills, In Hearts Wake, Issues, Knuckle Puck, Kublai Kahn, Less Than Jake Lighterburns, Makeout, Mayday Parade, Motionless In White, Movements, My Children MyBride, Nekrogoblikon, Palaye Royale, Real, Friends, Reel Big Fish, Sharptooth, Simple Plan, Sleep On It, State Champs, Story Untold, The Amity Affliction, The Maine, This Wild Life, Tonight Alive, Trash Boat, TWIZTID, Unearth, Wage War, Waterparks, We The Kings, and With Confidence. But I was especially psyched for The Interrupters! It was an exceptional set of bands and a GREAT crowd. Thank you for the years of Greatness Warped Tour! And thank you Canterbury Park for hosting the festival beautifully!

My husband and I really enjoy Canterbury Race Track, in Shakopee, MN. I'd give it 5 stars if they still allowed you to bring your picnic items in. On very hot days, we drink a lot of water & buying it there, cost an arm & a leg. I only have 2 each of those. I don't get hungry on hot days, but when I do get hungry, food cost even more. But this place is so much fun, we just try to budget the best we can to include it. Entry cost went up a couple $ either this year, or last year, but it's still affordable entertainment, except for the food & drinks. Canterbury is great at promotional features; Bull dog, wiener dog, exotic animals competitions. They have "Buck Night," wine and beer tasting days, live music some days & nights, free hot dog days, etc. There is a play place for kids and special family days. If you register for their race card, free, they send you updates, bulletins, calendars, free tickets, etc, plus you get discounts, free racing programs, etc. Great place!

This was my first experience with horse racing and my first time at Cantebury. 1. Are there any maps? We were completely lost trying to find even the track at first. We bought a program thinking it would have a map in it but no. No maps posted on walls. For first time visitors this place is really confusing and finding bathrooms are a nightmare. 2. Seating isnt very clear...we weren't sure based on our ticket which seats we should be in. 3. Not enough indoor seating. 4. Lack of shade. 5. Having a non smoking section within range of the smoking section defeats the purpose of non smoking as smoke travels in the air. As a first time visitor to your track overall I had fun but it was very confusing and disorientating trying to find simple things like restrooms. Please add easily accessible maps for your visitors!

Not someplace we'd typically go. (Not gamblers) We got free tickets and decided to go. Saw some beautiful horses. The announcer did a good job of filling us in on what was happening. As a family we cheered on our favorites. Our absolute favorite, and reason for going was the Corgi Races. Signs in the park stated they have Basset Hound and Daschund days coming up. As expected the concessions were priced high, but they did have a special $1 hotdog event happening. Some rain came through that caused a small delay, but we stayed dry under the roof that later in the day shielded us from the sun. It was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Lots of time between races to visit, so be sure to only go with people you like!

One of my favorite places in MN! So many options for watching and wagering! We always reserve a table in The Cabana or The Wild Horse Saloon. These cost $15 per seat for up to 6 people, but I love the convenience of having a server for the food and beverages. There is also a restroom and wagering window right there and the tables are all near the finish line. Honestly though, there isn't a bad place in the park to watch the races! When my kids were little we would always just pay the general admission price (around $5) and pick a seat in the grandstand. Thursdays are great for bargains on beer and snacks. The food in the paid seating areas is very good with excellent Naeopolitan style pizza and many other items.

Went to a skijoring event here. Super impressed with the inside heated area. The track is awesome and everyone’s so so so so nice. Reasonable prices at the concession stands and parking is easy. Can’t wait to come back!
