Update: 6-26-24 I am updating my original post for a variety of reasons. #1 I was contacted immediately by one of the managers in regards to my experience. We had a lengthy conversation (40 minutes) about what went well and what didn't go well. Our conversation involved more than just the visit after my initial review. I was impressed with the dedication to ensuring not only I was a satisfied customer but providing me an opportunity to help them problem solve and identify key areas of concern. Since my review I have placed two "To Go" orders and three dining in experiences. I definitely noticed a lot of positive changes which addressed things we discussed previously. The food is always spot on and you can't go wrong with any of the dishes. My customer service has been what I expect from any business that has earned my business. The atmosphere: I would give 4.5 stars only because when they are completely full (often which is a good thing) it can be a bit on the loud side. Take advantage of being able to eat outdoors when you can and enjoy your meal. In my opinion, Bravis went above and beyond to communicate with me about my dissatisfaction so they could learn and improve. I even received a follow up personal letter and card to express their appreciation for my honesty. In my book, they have done just what they strived to achieve and will continue to learn as they grow.
Original Review: I’m a huge fan of Bravis. We’ve been going for years prior to the new establishment. The food has always been outstanding. I like that there is more space to dine in. However, our past few experiences have left us with disappointment due to lack of customer service. Tonight I tried to place an order for pickup in advance for a specific time. It could have been the storm but I could not get the website to work. No problem and I decided to call and ask if I could place an order ahead of time and pick up later. The response was to call 20 minutes before I wanted to pick up. Fair, I can do that. I called after my event to place my order on my way home. I was asked if I could be put on a brief hold. I said sure. A six and a half minutes later I hear people in the background and finally someone says, “Hello?” I said, “Yes, I’ve been on hold for almost seven minutes and I’d like to place an order for pickup.” I explained my previous experience. Finally I was able to place my order and they called me 20 minutes later to pick up my food. The order was brought to me. I was given the total and he said sorry for the wait. I stated I was not very happy being on the phone almost 9 minutes to place my order. He said, “I understand.” I’m like …. No, you don’t understand. He took my gift card and gave me the food. Not another word was exchanged. See… this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I tell everyone about Bravis and I even get gift cards as a gift from people because they know how much I like it. I even moved across the street from there. I thought it was a bonus to be so close. I’m extremely...

About three weeks ago, went to Bravis for dinner with husband and two kids, we were asked if we had a reservation, we said No, they had us wait for a table, told us 20-30 minutes, husband got a beer and we sat in the waiting area, long story short a party of 3 came after us, sat and waited and were given a table while we continued waiting at this point it been after 30 minutes, another party of 4 adults came in, sat down in waiting area and were given a table before us, I approached the hostess and she said they were waiting for a table to be cleaned for us, I looked at the dining room and asked about a few open and clean tables, the host said sorry but we need to split tables for the servers. I waited some more by this time its been about an hour, husband is on beer number 2, We were about to leave when we were told they had a table.
Last Saturday, we decided to give this place a second chance because they got really good food! So we called in to make a reservation, not a fancy place but we chose it for our aniversary dinner since we had the kids. Husband called in, was told to hold, waited a few minutes and no one picked up, Husband called back asked to make a reservation, was told to hold and a hostess would take his info, no one ever picked up After a 7 MINUTE hold husband decided to hang up.
Message to Bravis, with this type of service your restaurant will NOT survive no matter how good your food is. My advise to you is, Every guest is important equally! I came to your place because my parents are regulars, but I will not return and will not recomend your restaurant, You must re train your front of the house personnel and offer a welcoming experience even during busy hours to your guests, remember people not only pay for food but equally important for the dining experience.
Original Review:
I had given 5 stars Mom and Dad recomended this place, it is so refreshing to have authentic Mexican restaurants that brings quality, plate presentation, ambiance and autstanding service. As MexicanAmerican I am tired of so self called 'Mexican restaurants' that are Tex Mex or 'Mexican restaurants that lack real ingredients and class. I had the delicious mole enchiladas, Mole sauce is one of the most important food staple of Mexican cuisine and is a hard one to get right outside of Mexico or a Mexican household, The carnitas tacos spot on, great tasting tortillas. I will advice this place to never take shortcuts and continue bringing quality food to their guests Yes this place does have their own mex-american fusion dishes as well and a good...

It's a cute little "Hole-in-the-Wall" place that has limited indoor seating, yet now during the warmer months in Minnesota offers an outdoor eating experience. The ambiance of the place resonates a warm, cozy adobo feeling, as if you've been teleported to the southwest. Just keep in mind that it is first come first serve....they don't take reservations.
Their regular Margarita's (Signature Drink $8.00) are amazing. Full of natural flavors, bright, refreshing and citrusy. I believe they make their own mix. I had two, they were that good! Our server was wonderful....attentive, polite, kind, she was very informative about the compact menu they offered. Pricing is very reasonable. The food is great, mouth watering, leaving you to want more even though the serving sizes left you full and bringing the extras home.
We started out with the Birria Tacos. The beef was perfectly seasoned, tender, edges crisp but not burnt. The condiments that came with the tacos were a great compliment that was obviously house made.
My eldest nephew ordered the Nachos ($9.00) minus the beans and veggies. LOL! So it was just the beef & chorizo along with the cheese blend. He insisted on sharing, there was a lot to go around...even without the "greens" the nachos were very good.
My sister-in-law ordered the Burrito ($13.00) with the choice of Chicken for her meat. Obviously hand made, very flavorful according to her. She even said she would order it again, it was that fresh and she's a workout guru!
Our Mom had one Carne Asada Street Taco and one Al Pastor Street Taco. She had found them absolutely delicious. The beef and the pork were tasty, juicy, tender with just the right amount of meat to veggie ratio. Perfectly sized serving in her opinion.
As for my brother and myself we had the Pineapple Bowl ($16.00 - choice of 2 meats, all 3 +$3.00). This is obviously their signature dish and I can see why. An amazing meal all-in-one with a great price! My brother had the Pineapple Bowl with chicken & shrimp and I had the one with beef strips & shrimp. Both come in a scooped out half pineapple filled with rice, tender stir fried sweet bell pepper strips and onions, not mushy or burnt. Then heaped with your meats of choice. You just can't go wrong with this meal. The shrimp are huge and plentiful so is your meat. I had to take half of mine home, they boxed/wrapped it up for me and told me how to reheat it at home.
Don't worry...we plan on coming back in the near future! Thank you so much for your wonderful food &...
