Starz Grille — Restaurant in Shallotte

ATTENTION-ATTENTION-ATTENTION!!!MANAGER OF THIS RESTAURANT NEEDS TO SEE THIS REVIEW ASAP!!! If I could rate less than one star I would!!! My family and I arrived here right around 5 in the afternoon. The place was empty other than the kitchen staff along with one waitress and three other folks at tables. I should have known better than to try and stay and eat after seeing that. The waitress told us to sit wherever we liked. After sitting down and waiting close to 10 minutes for her to take our order she finally came and did so, but not before her making us aware that she was the only waitress there and they were short handed. We waited another 10 minutes or so for our drinks and another 10 minutes for her to come back and take our order. If you're keeping count thats 30 minutes and still no food. She finally takes our order and we waited close to another 30 minutes for our food. When we finally got our order I didn't get the ranch for my chips, mom didn't get a spoon for her soup or the crackers she requested either. I had to go to the kitchen window to retrieve the spoon. Dad says his food was fine. Mom says hers was fine as well. My food was cold and on top of that I had to pick off the onions on my burger because they were not cooked as the menu said they would be(I have an allergy to uncooked onions). I didn't send it back because we didn't have the time to sit and wait any longer. We had to wait on the salad bar to be topped off, had to wait on plates for it as well and then on top of all that had to pick through the lettuce to get some that wasn't brown. We never received drink refills, and I never got my glass of water to drink after my beer. The waitress couldn't remember anything because she was to busy talking and calling everyone sweetie, love, darling and so on(I may be the only one that bothers). After the long and agonizing meal she comes over to ask if we need anything and we tell her a to go box and the ticket, which we had to wait for as well. As soon as she comes back with those she automatically starts apologizing for the pitiful meal we had. My dad is old and doesn't have patience for that type of mess and proceeded to tell her how piss-poor the service was. She tells him not to worry about a tip which sent the whole thing over the edge. He told her we paid for a good meal and good service and only got what amounted to about a third of that. For a meal in the $50 price range we received from here we could have gone to McDonald's and ate much better than here. We will not and won't ever again darken the doors of this restaurant ever again!!! No meal should ever be had at the expense of...

For the most part we love Planet Fun and our favorite thing is the drive-in movie! It's inexpensive and super awesome! As an old school Arcadian, I was confused at first with the arcade using a card instead of coins or tokens and the fact that prize tickets were also digital and not physical. It was difficult to explain to a child why we didn't get physical tickets but I guess in this day and age of technology, it is to be expected. The only negative to the arcade was that there were several broken games so we couldn't do some of them like the VR game was fun but I wished the other side was usable so I could do the game with my child instead of just watching him do it. He's still at an age where he wants to experience WITH me and so that was a bummer. There were too many games that centered around getting more tickets which aren't fun for an 8 year old. Biggest disappointment was there were NO PINBALL! We actually went there for pinball and there was not even one! It was also really easy to spend our digital money very quickly and not fully understand how much was being spent. It was ok fun but in the future we'll probably stick with the drive-in movie and not get so excited about the...

This place doesn't even deserve a star! Thanks a bunch for the response you are a complete idiot and from the looks at some of the other reviews we aren't the only people that noticed the games do not work!! You should be ashamed for lying and being a cocky arrogant you know what.... you are very unprofessional and should focus more on your business mannerism instead of lying and arguing on a review ........ idiot !!Most of the games at this place are broken, customer service is horrible here, I'm a little confused at the fact that it seems like a place to take children but they aren't kid friendly, the manager/ owner whoever he was , the bald headed guy, very unprofessional and rude as well as most of the staff , waited 2 hours to bowl , were placed beside people that obviously hate kids and complained on our kids that weren't doing anything wrong , they literally each had a turn and the bald guy comes and asks us to take control of our kids.... we have never experienced such rudeness and refused to give us a refund after we paid $80 I would not recommend this place they didn't even have enough bowling shoes to accommodate all of us and my husband was told to...
