Veterans Memorial Park — Attraction in Shelton

There is so much room here you could to bassically any outdoor activity. The only thing that really bothers me about this place is the amount of trash there is around the place. One time me and a few other had gone outside to pick up some trash and we had taken out 4-6 bags of trash out of the place. There are also some events that take place here that can include the recent carnival or a concert. I only recommend that you go here if you like good views or like to go on walks by yourself, others,...

A very peaceful place to gather your thoughts or to catch up on work. I tend to come here to work on new menus. The view of the water is beautiful, never a bad crowd there , they often offer movie night, the carnival, just recently a food truck event which was great, and you can also come and pay respect to the fallen heroes at the war monuments. My grandfather was in WW2 and father in Vietnam.

If you need that 30 minute calm, this is the park...

View of the housantic river and rte 8 highway bridge and the very old train bridge (but still active). Along the way, we noticed that they are building (on the Derby side of River) what appears to be a docking station for boats...but I'm not positive. Can't wait to see what it...
