Luzara Sweets — Restaurant in Shelton

I had to stop in as I've been hearing good things constantly sweet talking my ears. I can't express how delightful this stop was for me.

Let me frame it! You walk in and immediately feel the passion + pride that goes into keeping this place not only presentable but absolutely warm & welcoming. And if being at ease with your selection isn't enough for you well you're in good hands because their work is absolute art of the finest craftsmanship.

To start they have an amazing daily breakfast with fun options and for me I chose The Fancy French, a delicious double fried egg sandwich w/ cheese hash brown topper and a maple syrup between two slice of divine French toast. I don't typically do sweets but I'm a sucker for a good French, and when I could slam some bacon on that treasure for some 'balance' Luzara Sweets tipped my scales!

Now that being said this is a bakery and the daily breakfast isn't the only offering by far.

I have seen their absolutely stunning custom cakes, and am ordering one for my mother's 4th of July birthday because she deserves nothing but the best. Having met James and purveyed the catalogue of cakes they've done I could not be more excited to surprise my mother with one of their beautiful cakes of art.

I have ordered from the owner in the past prior to her opening the shop. Not only is Sarah thoughtful but she has a way of making you feel extra special about your order. She is meticulous to detail and very reasonably priced. We went opening day for the shop and I couldn’t believe the line! Her desserts consisted of cake pops, cookies, cupcakes, flan, and personal sized cakes(I believe it was carrot cake and tres leches on display at the time). She has a variety of different dessert options that all not only taste great but you can tell have the most important ingredient, LOVE. And these are offered DAILY. Even with the line out the door she took time with each one of her customers. The shop also offers amazing breakfast options (simple like a bacon, egg and cheese to a special called “freaky fries”) and coffee with rotating flavors based on season. We have been back twice since opening and her sweets are better each time. The atmosphere is inviting and fun. I can’t wait for nicer weather so we can grab a coffee/breakfast/sweets prior to walking the trail by the river. Definitely a place I recommend everyone...

What a beautifully pink location! I randomly found this place on google and was so happy I did. The detail and love put into the space gives you so much to appreciate. The cupcakes AND food were amazing. I ordered a dozen count of assorted cupcakes, one being Somoa Girl Scout cookie flavor, but they do have lots of options including seasonal flavors like Coquito and gluten free options too! I tried the breakfast sandwich and was surprised to see they make everything to order and FRESH, real eggs, bacon (not microwaved) and bread was toasted and soft inside. I went twice in one week and brought my 5 year old daughter in the second time for lunch and ordered the loaded fries, WOW it was delicious! The portion is great for sharing, the fries were hot crispy and fresh, slightly drizzled with maple syrup, topped with cheese and bacon, scallions and 2 eggs on top, we ate the entire thing!
