Need to find some unique Asian items at reasonable prices? Head on over to your local Daiso, find items at very reasonable prices. I needed to find some dish’s and other odds and ends such as chopsticks, cast iron cookware, rice bowls etc, found everything I needed in one trip.
I guess your able to compare this to stores like dollar general, but nothing here is really a dollar, prices are in Yen but they have a conversion table at every isle so you can see what it will cost. One item I got was a vacuum sealed sweet corn, the young last thought it was cooked and ready to eat, well that’s not entirely true, once I removed the sticker, I saw cooking instructions, 2 minutes in the microwave or 5 minutes in boiling water but keep in the bag while cooking.
Also picked up microwave rice, ready in a minute, they have other Asian foods but this is no grocery store, but dry goods such as ramen they have.
They also have seasonal items such as Christmas ornaments etc, so you can find a few things to decorate your home, it was a pleasant experience, the store is very clean but definitely crowded with stock, i took more than 50 photos to share but Facebook limits it to 50, so you will need to go see what else they have beyond my images.
Very unique shopping experience, give them a go if you find...
Read moreWhat a fun store! I love stores like the Dollar Tree and 5 below and this is the other one to add to the list-- same store, different font. Er-- difference language at this point, since it's a Japanese store. The prices are not high, but it does definitely add up real quick and because of course when do you think one thing is cheap--and you grab 20 things--it adds up very fast.
They have a fun selection of snacks, things I haven't seen at other places. We got the shrimp flavor chips, which were not our taste. I definitely wasted money on that. Snacks are always a hit or miss. However, we were able to find a few fun hello kitty items! My toddlers love them and that was the highlight of my day.
Also, my daughter is newly sanrio obsessed and when I told the cashier I thought they would have a bigger selection because we specifically drove all the way here just for sanrio, she was really sweet told us about kpop violet which was around the corner and we had no idea! That was a huge hit for my daughter for her birthday! So I'll keep coming back for the great customer service, as well as random...
Read moreWe have been frequenting our local Daiso, here in LA, for 5 years. Their products are neat and durable; every once in a blue moon, something cool will turn out to be a dud. I have not used their make-up products to say if they are worth it/ safe but they are always running out of stock. That's usually a good sign. Their dinnerware is great quality; even my pets have real dinnerware. And if you are like me a d always breaking your glassware they have plenty of cool styles there as well. Really can't go to wrong by visiting. Just set yourself a budget & go wild! Happy shopping
Eeeeeks! So happy they are now expanding and especially happy to see there is one located in my TX backyard. ( I thought I was going to have to rent a separate truck to haul all of my backup Daiso...
