PLEASE READ!! I don’t ever write reviews. It’s not like me to have something negative to say. I just learn from the experience and never go back. Something about this interaction really threw me off. I’ve come here before and couldn’t say anything about customer service due to just getting an item and checking out. Minimal conversation with employees when I went the first time. This time around I was looking for a place to sell my clothing items and shoes. Before I did that I made sure I looked at the reviews and the reviews were pretty bad, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I called before hand and told them I was bringing a few items and they said it would take 45 min. That is all they mentioned on the call. I dropped them off. My items were in a tote that had very minimal glitter at the bottom and in hangers. I had nothing but named brand clothes in my tote. Lululemon, Altard State, Athleta, free people, clothing from Nordstrom and some target things. Two pieces of clothes were given to me by a friend that I don’t use so I thought I’d put them in the tote it was “teen” pieces which I understand that they don’t buy, but the tote was full of good quality clothes that I’ve maybe worn once or not at all. They only bought 4-5 items and they put expensive heel boots at the bottom so I couldn’t see them! They still had the tag on them for $80 and were used once. and the way the “manager” interacted with me showed me that they need some training in customer service and I made sure I told her. I don’t think customers are always right bc that is not the case. She said that she didn’t get any of my clothes bc the tote had a lot of glitter and my clothes were on hangers and that I should have known not to bring it in hangers so next time wash my clothes and bring them again but she wasn’t the nicest person saying it. I was like thats odd bc when I called no one mentioned that! I took the tote back to my car to check my clothes and saw no glitter on them but very minimal glitter at the bottom and saw that my $80 high heel boots weren’t in the tote. I went back in to ask if they had my boots in the box of things they got and they did. They were at the bottom where I couldn’t see them. I asked if I could get them back bc I didn’t see that they were apart of the purchase and the “manager” said that I can buy them back for $19. It was just really crappy customer service. It seemed like it was people working just to work and that’s what makes businesses look bad by the quality of the people they hire unfortunately. I took my loss but know now to believe what reviews say about places like these. My thing is if my clothes was bad and filled with glitter why purchase anything at all? Places like these are a scam. Not to mention I looked around and saw some of the things that were sold and realized how bad the quality was. They were boots hanging at the entrance and thought why would they sell that? So it made me really question the things they do and...
Read moreThis week I went into take some very nice clothing never been worn, some items worn only a couple of times. The young lady behind the counter that barely speaks to you, looks at the item goes to the computer and told me that these are older Talbot pants. They had the original talbots price tags and had never been worn. I was a bit perplexed cuz I thought this was a resale shop! She told me they only take items of clothing 2 years or younger, nothing over 2 years old. She told me she could look on her computer and and when the item was made! I looked at some of the clothing on the racks and they definitely looked older than 2 years. I too like the other reviews in here thought this was a resale shop and they took items of clothing that were in good condition, did not know they put a limit on the age of the clothes. When I called they told me they just needed to be in good clean barely worn condition. The young lady behind the counter said clothes are only accepted if they were purchased in the last 2 years. Did not see a 2-year limit limit on clothing requirement. I had a new leather jacket and was told they didn't take leather. Plus a velvet cocktail dress with tags still attached. Several items were purchased at well-known boutiques in The Woodlands, Dillard's and Talbots Now I understand the negative reviews previously posted...

Seller beware! Style Encore - The Woodlands...is a super shady place. Took some stuff in there to sell today; wasn't expecting much but at least it's out of my house and who knows, I might even get a little walking around money. In with my stuff I had some NWT Kendra Scott earrings that were originally $175. Got the text they were done with my items, so I head back to see what all they bought & get whatever back they didn't want. They ended up taking 2 pairs of slacks & 2 tops. I get my bag of stuff back they didn't want & went back to my car to inventory what was left. I immediately notice the earrings are not in there; go back inside the store and there they are, behind the register ALREADY ON A FOR SALE DISPLAY TABLE. I ask the girl who helped me what all they bought from me again, she lists off the slacks/shirts. So I tell her my earrings are missing and if they didn't buy them from me why the hell are they on the table behind you for sale. I wish I had taken a picture of her face, she immediately knew they were busted trying to pull off something shady. "OH!! That was just an accident, here you go." That was the explanation I got. Idk, it definitely didn't feel like an accident, and I have no doubts that they've managed to slip some stuff by customers that don't pay as...
