I wasn't terribly sure what my first experience at a medical dispensary would be like. You have to keep in mind, the Shreveport I left was very different place than the one that I live in now. Certainly never would have thought I was see a place like this here.
You definitely feel like a kid in a candy store because there are all sorts of products available. Service is quick and straightforward.
My favorite area is the lobby because I love the modern design. There's a nice lounge area and a bookshelf full of books for you CannaNerds out there, myself included.
My favorite products so far is the Ayo topical thc:cbd cream which has been great for my knee and back pain. Also the fast-acting "Night, Night" gummies by Good Day Farm. They are low dose and are perfect if you're having trouble sleeping at night.
These are just a couple of light nitpicks that I believe would improve the shopping experience:
One: the plastic containers that house the different strains available for sale should have little sliders so you can smell the flower as well. I think smell is very much part of the buying experience and can help you in your buying decision as to which one to buy.
Two: I would love it if it was possible to have one or two budtenders to go around and ask customers if they need any assistance or help with purchasing anything.
The variety of products available especially when it comes flower can be overwhelming so it'd be a nice touch for those coming in that are new.
P.S. Tip...

I called 1st before placing an order to find out exactly what the process is to get a $1 pre-roll for your birthday. I followed those instructions, even placing a note within my online order that it was my birthday to make sure I got the discount. Then at the drive thru before the cashier rang up my order, I said my total should be an even $100. I paid $10.50 for the pre-roll, instead of $1. Guess what, there’s no way to issue a refund when using a bank card. So I ended up purchasing it for full price & their resolution to their screw-up is they’ll give me a credit of $10.50 on my next order. The moral of the story is try not to be disappointed if they screw up your birthday too‼️ Another gripe is discounts. Mississippi GDF regards their senior citizens the same as veterans giving them both a 10% discount. Louisiana GDF, however, only thinks highly of their veterans and could care less about giving their Seniors...
Read moreI got home and opened my drive thru order to find a package of edibles missing. I called and was instructed to come back to the store so they could check the contents of my bag. When I returned the girl in the drive thru who initially packed my order tried to lie and say they didn’t have any more edibles and that’s why I didn’t get the second bag but then told me they actually did have more but they didn’t 15 minutes prior when I was picking up. I asked how they magically came across more and she rudely said “do you not know how inventory works?”. Clearly she doesn’t know how inventory works if she had the edibles the whole time but never gave them to me. I wasted gas and my time because the girl at the window doesn’t know how to count. I would seriously consider letting her go and finding someone who is better at customer service and actually knows basic...
