If you want a Stanton record player fixed try other options. Hereâs what to expect with Monmouth Stereo. You will walk in and talk to a very nice man. You will pay $30 to have them look to see if âheâ (the busy man behind the curtain) can even fix the record player. You are informed that it will take three weeks for him to even get the chance to look at it. Another invisible person Marcia pronounced Mar sea uh (donât get that wrong) will eventually contact you. After a month I still had not heard from Mar sea uh so we called. It was obvious that nobody had even looked at the record player. Two days later we get a call saying that they called the company and they donât have any manuals to fix the record player. I was under the assumption that Monmouth Stereo had a person that could take apart record players and fix them. What they did for $30 is make a phone call to a company. I think a better business practice wouldâve been to call the company first or tell me to. Whatâs the point of taking $30 from a customer if one phone call determines whether you can fix or not. In the end, they basically spent five minutes making a call and handed me back my record player untouched. It is also hard to believe that Stanton doesnât make any parts for their record players when a simple online search leads you to a list with prices..IF they wouldâve offered me $20 of the $30 back as I certainly wouldâve respected the time it took to make the phone call. Theyâve been in business for a long time so Iâm just warning people with newer record players or Stantonâs. Iâm also warning people about the loooong time frame. I wish I had...
Read moreDropped off a turntable that was humming. They said the repair guy had a operation so it took like 3 month. After I pick it up,I took it home to play and the humming was fixed but the pitch control was way off. I try to fix it myself but no good. So I brought it back it took another 2 months then he said he is having trouble finding the part. The part?.. why? What part?THE PICTCH CONTROL WAS FINE WHEN I GAVE IT TO THE FIRST TIME!!!.. I gave it to them to fix the grounding, not the pitch. So the guy who was working on did something to mess that up⌠not me!!⌠they offered no kinda refund or even a Partial refund. Which I think I Deserve so I am sorry, but they no they would be angry if they bought something in and it is still broke. So I donât recommend anybody dropping of things are broke. Think twice and ask yourself should I just buy a new one??. That money I gave them could have gone to a new one. I have to buy a new one now. Got lots of vinyl records. Sorry but I donât like to write bad reviews but I got to...
