My husband and I were coming out of a nearby store and saw the sign for Hearthly Burgers, which at first I thought said "Healthy" Burgers. When we got inside we saw it was actually organic, and mostly locally sourced food and even milkshakes. I was excited to try it.
My husband ordered the truffle burger (single) and a vanilla milkshake. I ordered the single cheeseburger, adding grilled onions and dill pickles. We shared an order of hand cut fries.
First, the price is higher than the usual place. The total for our order was about $40. I guess when you want organic, it comes with a cost. The add ons in particular were a little steep, with dill pickles at $1.75 and grilled onions at $2.25(?) I think. Made me wonder why there weren't more special burgers on the menu, particularly one with pickles! But that didn't stop me from adding them on because I wanted my burger the way I wanted it. And I'm glad I did.
Because, second, the taste was excellent. The buns were soft and airy, the patties were juicy and flavorful, the sauces and the veggies were all fresh and tasty. The french fries were thin, crisp, salted, and really delicious. My husband's only complaint was he should've gotten the double because he felt the patty was a bit thin. (The double truffle burger would have been close to $20 however).
And finally, the service was really above and beyond. I had ordered a soda, but when I went to the soda machine I saw they had no sugar free options. So they refunded us for the soda and also let me know that for next time there were some sugar free beverage options in the drink cooler near the register.
Despite the price tag, I think I would come back here for sure. Really delicious and nice to know that it is...
Read moreFirst time here - will be back. Went for lunch with my husband and cousin. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside at a nice wooden table covered by an umbrella. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers (came with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sliced onion, pickles, and OG sauce) and 2 shroom burgers (came with Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and maple aoli) plus a side of the most delicious crispy thin cut fries. The buns are made fresh daily on-site. Service was fast and friendly (thanks Cash and Brandon). The burgers were really really good! Great flavor and tender. You’ll pay extra for everything being organic but it’s worth every penny in my opinion. I feel good supporting local, small, sustainable farmers and don’t mind paying a premium for that, especially since everything was sooo delicious. They offer vegan options and chicken options too. Plus all of their utensils and cups are compost-friendly. Bonus: they serve complimentary filtered water infused with organic fruits and herbs (oranges and mint today). They also have a nice selection of organic beverages. Tip: their grand opening is Sunday, September 29th from 11 AM to 8 PM. 50% off all burgers from...
Read moreWhere to start? (taps fingers contemplatively) I found this place by accident. Recent health issues made me look for healthier options. It used to be when I got healthier options, id expect the taste to suffer a little. The Hearthly Burger does it the right way. Whose food looks (in person) like it does in the pictures? Theirs does. Whose food tastes as good as the pictures looks? Theirs does. In all seriousness, if I'm looking for traditional, vegan or anything, they have it for me and it tastes scrumptrulescent. I can tell it's made fresh also, so there's that too. If you are in the area and thinking about it, stop by cuz.... I think you'll like it. I love it... I've been ordering their food for dinner on occasion for a while now... and sometimes I get a smiley face on my ticket. Lol, it's the little things. So..... To recap: AWESOME, FRESH, PRESENTATION, TASTE, and sometimes you get a smiley...
