Bullhorns (Burger + Grill) — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

Was very excited when I saw this place had opened up close by. A few weeks ago I picked up a burger for my girlfriend (I had already eaten) and salivated from afar as she enjoyed each bite. I had vowed that I would come back and order one for myself.

Yesterday evening I easily talked my girlfriend into ordering burgers for the both of us. I went online and placed my order several hours prior to pickup. For me, it was a Philly Burger and a side of onion rings. My GF wanted a Spicy Baja Chicken Burger with a side of sweet potato fries.

As with the first time I had visited the Shrewsbury location, I was greeted with a smiling, friendly face when I walked through the door. The place was very clean and I could see several people in the kitchen preparing orders. My order was ready within minutes of arriving, exactly as scheduled when I placed it online. Kudos to the people who work here. They are a very friendly bunch and for me, that's one of the most important aspects of maintaining a successful business.

I was very excited to bring my piping hot bag of burgers and sides home to try for the very first time. As my GF placed paper plates in front of us, I took the contents out of the bag. The burgers were encased in plastic containers to keep them warm. The sweet potato fries were aligned in a tall cup while an ample amount of onion rings peeked out from its wrapping.

The first bite of my Philly burger was pure heaven. It was a Big Bang of texture and flavor hitting me all at once. Sinking my teeth into a moist burger with a slice of Philly steak, sautéed onions and melted cheese was an unbelievable sensation. The quality and care to put into this sandwich was first-rate.

Now let's talk about the onion rings. This was just as huge of a surprise for me as I am used to eating frozen supermarket brands or the ones Burger King or Applebees usually serve. These rings were a totally different animal. The best way I can describe them is "fresh." These weren't overly fried or breaded. It was if they had just sliced the onions, lightly breaded them and cooked them in very clean oil. They were light and delicious. I have never had onion rings that tasted as fresh as the burgers.

Was this the best burger I have ever eaten? Let's say it's among the best I have eaten anywhere. The combination of well over a dozen different burgers, with easy online ordering and pickup and an extremely friendly staff makes this my favorite takeout spot. What an experience!! I went to 30 Burger for lunch this place is very familiar with another numbered custom burger spot in Toms River(some of you may be familiar). I ordered the Turkey Royale w/ Cheese. They Royale Burger is my favorite; Burger, bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sauce on a bun. I've never seen a Turkey Royale so thought LETS GO. The turkey is Turkey Burger, Turkey bacon, all other items are the same I also ordered cheese fries. The fries were amazing, I was working through my lunch so I started taking calls while I ate and had only taken 1 maybe 2 bites of my burger( keep this in mind for later). After taking a few work calls n eating cheese fries with a fork a gentleman who took my order presumably the owner/manager walked up to me and asked if I didn't like the sandwich since I hadn't touched it. I told him I was busy working and didn't have my earbuds in to take calls so the fork was my friend for the moment but I'd surely be returning to the burger. After I ate everything which was delicious I went to the owner/manager and asked why he asked about the burger being eaten. He replied that he thought I may not have liked it and he would have refunded me, I was taken a back. Great place to get a burger if you like yours medium to well done.

Fries are crispy and is delivered in a brown paper bag to ensure crispyness. Onion rings are amazing. Don’t bother getting them at Chiafullo where yours will be served blackened.

Beware when ordering seasoned and regular fries because they don’t differentiate the two when delivered. Good luck guessing. Lol

The burgers are not exactly made to order. Initially had the Devils burger medium rare without the Serrano peppers and it was tasty. However it was more like a medium burger.

Next time around I ordered the Cowboy burger rare without BBQ sauce and American cheese and added habanero sauce with chipotle aioli and feta cheese. Honestly there wasn’t enough sauce or aioli to make this burger worth while and was a tad dry with the onion rings and bacon. I ordered it rare because last time the meat was over cooked. This time the burger was more like medium rare to medium. Not exactly on point.

They need to get their act together if they want to keep the picky ones like me who will travel to find a perfect medium rare burger to return often. This place would shine if they knew how to cook their burgers correctly and added more sauce to prevent from devouring a dry burger.
