ALDI — Attraction in Sikeston

I’m an Instacart shopper, and I do Instacart with my boyfriend. We’re at this store everyday, so we know where pretty much anything is in the store. The past couple days, there won’t be any employees out on the floor, and so we’ve had multiple elderly folks come up to us asking where stuff is. We LOVE ALDIs, but there’s definitely some things that need to be tweaked. For starters, my boyfriend and I cannot stand this worker named Megan, she has the absolute worst attitude. One day, during an Instacart order, she threw an entire box of pastries onto the ground, from my order, that was supposed to go into the grocery cart. Instead of being anything close to helpful, she looked at me and said “you might wanna pick that up” as if I’m the one who dropped my customers groceries. There have been numerous times, where they will throw the heaviest items from the order, onto my produce, chips, or other clearly breakable items. I’m the one who gets the bad review, and the tip decrease if stuff is getting damaged. If you’re trying to buy onions or peppers, you might want to go somewhere else. I have never seen their onions in good condition. They have lots of produce that sits there and is literally visibly moldy. Yesterday we were trying to get bananas for a customer, and they all looked like the bananas you would use for banana bread. There was an entire box of bananas smashed and soaking wet from sitting with other smashed ones. It’s just gross. My boyfriend is trying to get a job here, and he would be the best worker! There’s a lot of workers we like, we just don’t know their names. The Megan girl stands out like a sore thumb in that crowd. Aldis is always very clean, I just wish they had more room in the store. Most of the time this place is a good place to shop for the prices. The food is good and the veggies almost always fresh. They do have a few specialty foods. Delivery can be dicey depending on your shopper. A few times I have gotten their not so fresh fruits and veggies but they will replace them IF you call and bring the in, but what is the point of delivery if you have to do that. They have the lowest produce prices in town, as far as I am aware. That's all I really shop for here. I hardly ever have to put a quater in a cart because someone usually gives me theirs as they are leaving, and I pay it foward to the next person. Some of the time, the lines are a bit long, but they do what they can to fix that. I've never had to wait for a cashier to get to the register or call for one. 5 stars...
