My mother lived at the Springs for 21months. I have hesitated to write a review because we interfaced with kind, caring people. The activities director is AMAZING. There were many staff members that went above and beyond to help my mother during the later stages of her dementia. My mother needed more care than the assisted living could give her but there was not room in the special care unit, so she declined rapidly without the attention she needed. We were too trusting, assuming she was being looked after more than she was. We discovered there was not much supervision in the dining hall. No one was keeping track of my mother's nutrition (or malnutrition). There was a lot of turn-over in the staff. Just when you begin to know the caretakers, they have moved along to another job within a few months. My mother's laundry was constantly getting lost even though we had her name in every piece of clothing. Her lovely rings, that we should have removed months earlier, went missing. If your loved one doesn't have many personal-help needs and just needs to live around others, this is an ideal place. If you think they are going to need more care (i.e. help getting to the bathroom, trouble using a walker for longer walks, forgetting where/who they are) this is not the ideal...
Read moreWe had to move my father from home to an assisted living facility because his disease was progressing so fast. We had several options at our disposal and went and saw several facilities. We decided on the springs. The facility was clean, smelled good, the residents that we talked to seemed to like it and several called it home. Not knowing what to expect or what treatment my father would get we moved him in. We could not have imagined the support we got from the staff!! The girls, everyone of them treat my father like he’s family, like he matters. They are all so caring and loving. The medtechs that I know are fabulous!! Kassidy, Skylar, “the medicine woman” and any other techs that I can’t remember their names are truly noted as fabulous also!! The assistants all treat my dad so wonderful and always greet us when we come in. As any new tenant there is always a learning curve. But Leigha, Adam, Amanda, and my girl Alexis went above and beyond to make our move in stress free and easy, we had a few small issues pop up and all have been almost immediately rectified in our favor!! We appreciate Leigha, Amanda, and the team under them. We truly don’t know where we would be without their assistance!! I would recommend the...
Read moreThe Springs at Simpsonville is fabulous. When my father in law, at 90 years old with Alzheimers needed to be moved to the area we visited interviewed and toured about a dozen facilities, many of them multiple times. In the end we choose The Springs and it was the perfect decision. Every person, without exception, that we encountered at The Springs, was caring and loving. They always took time to do their best to understand my father in law and his needs. His Alzheimers has made it difficult and sometimes impossible to understand, however at The Springs the staff took time to talk with him and let him do his best to interact. The level of care was great. And best of all the love that they have for their residents is evident each time we walked into the building. If you need a new home for someone you love you won't find a better place with better people than The Springs. We appreciate each and every person there and all that they have done for us as a family as well as all they have done for my...
