I wasn't even going to leave a review but I keep catching myself thinking about the disappointment, even 6 hours after eating a burger here. I don't like leaving bad'ish reviews but here it is:
A coworker and I stumbled in off the streets with zero expectations and decided to go for the burger joint after wandering around for 3-4 minutes trying to figure out the logistics of the different restaurants within one building.
We sat down and looked at the menu and quickly realized a single meal with a drink is $15+. We both ended up paying right at $20 but decided not to pass judgement until we got our food.
I'm going to start by saying that it's not a bad burger... but it's also not great. It's fairly generic with nothing particularly memorable about it. It was moist, slightly firm, and the meat by itself had decent flavor. The toppings were good, but not great. The best part of the meal was the fries: I had the sweet potato fries. They were cooked well, crispy, and paired surprisingly well with the horseradish sauce that had come with my burger.
The issue here is what you are getting for your dollar. I can think of a few local restaurants with bigger burgers, bolder flavors, and more toppings that come with fries and a drink for less money. I would possibly frequent this place if it was a good value (maybe $10-13 max) but unfortunately will avoid this place. If I wanted to go out with a family of 5, spending upwards of $80-100 for what, again, amounts to a generic burger just does not sit well with me.
I will probably give it one more chance if I drive by and see they are busy so that I can experience their food while they are banging on all 8 cylinders... but I won't hold my breath for a flavor town explosion that makes me edit...

Read moreSpoke with a manager at Vaughns and explained the situation that occurred, and he was quick to apologize. As I understand it, the young lady that was rude has had other customer based issues. Upgrading to 3 stars for the manager. Love the warehouse; this review is only for the tap house brunette millennial bar tender who decided that I should be scolded for patiently waiting for a beer. I was eating at the seafood restaurant, and ready for another beer. I walked up to the bar and waited to be served. I noticed there were a few people by the registers being served first, and didn't think anything of it. After about 5 minutes, the bar tender who was working the bar area walked up to me to ask what she could get me, and then preceded to say " the reason I've been ignoring you is that coming over to the bar area and not sitting down is the same as cutting the line". I would have been fine with something like -"I'm sorry but if you are grabbing a beer to go elsewhere, you have to go over by the cash registers" - I never knew it was a sin at the tap house to walk up to the bar and ask for a beer. Two of the other "elders" sitting at the bar looked at me with raised eyebrows. I said to them "I thought it was me - this is the service I have to expect after serving this great nation in our military for 35 years. Wow! Please teach a little customer service etiquette to those who need some help. ...
