Drake Springs Skateboard Park — Attraction in Sioux Falls Township

With the millions of dollars going into public park's for recreation, this is what these kids get?? Come on sioux falls public official's, do better! This park, like all the rest in SD, is terrible. I understand that not everyone is into skateboarding, but there is a rather large skater community out there. Not to mention bmx riders, roller bladers etc. Don't get me wrong this was a good start. Great atmosphere during peak hours. I feel like the park is the most fun when there's not a lot of people to run into - an empty/almost empty park allows for creativity.

If you're going to bring your kids, make sure they're not in someone's way. We love seeing kids trying to preserve and learn to skate our parks, but they can get hurt. Skaters have very little patience, so for the sake of those who use the park daily - actively watch your kids. Keeping your kid safe is your responsibility - Don't expect anyone else there to do...
