Very disappointed that they have zero trash receptacles anywhere at this park, especially since there's a river with protected habitat running right through it. The only ones left are in the bathrooms which are now overflowing it's pathetic.
Littering and not picking up garbage is a big issue in Snohomish and Lake Stevens because they don't put out public trash bins and don't value the appearance and quality of where they live. The locals also view picking up other people's trash as strange which makes no sense either. Just because someone else caused the problem doesnt mean you leave trash in places without picking it up. It's crazy how such small towns can have so much garbage when you see less in many areas of major cities like Seattle.

Read moreI've lived near here since age 20; I swam here as a kid, I brought my son here as a kid and I teach dogs how to swim here. Huge, has everything-sport courts, sports field, Pilchuck River, sandy beaches, picnic tables, grills for BBQ; public restroom, toddler playground, Little Free Library which fittingly, has lots of books for children. Can't beat the location of this park, it's an easy walk to Rite Aid, Skate Park, Pilchuck Drive In, McDaniels, First Street and the Centennial Trail. Is popular and can be crowded but on weekdays but that's usually weekends. Very social, sports oriented huge areas-I have never had to gag on a visitor's cigarette smoke.
