Beware if you have allergies!

I ordered takeout for my mom, who is allergic to gluten, from their gluten free menu. When the side salad arrived, it had croutons on it. I informed my server, and she took it back to the kitchen. When it came back, it was clear to me that they had just removed the croutons from the salad and sent it back… as I had found a crouton I hid underneath the salad to check for this!

Kitchen should be thoroughly educated on cross contamination, and should be more careful and considerate about the risk of getting people sick. I understand that nothing can be guaranteed in a kitchen, but If a restaurant has an allergen menu, you would assume that they would be trying their best instead of careless!!!
