We just hired Java Haus to cater our daughter's wedding at Swans Trail Farms on September 7 for 250 guests. We had looked at many catering companies and were blown away by how expensive it was to feed a large group ($12,000++). We opted with Java Haus because they were at less than half the cost of the other places we checked with. We were a little concerned the food and presentation might not be that great since they were less expensive, or that it would be like cafeteria food etc. We chose to serve heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet style since it was an early evening wedding and people would be expecting dinner. We ordered the sweet n sour meatballs, teriyaki chicken skewers, barbecue pulled pork sliders, cellentani pasta salad, smoked chicken salad with mixed greens, fruit tray and smoked salmon mousse on rye. The food was awesome, above and beyond what we expected!! AND there was plenty. We were worried that they would run out of food, but people were going back for seconds, teenage boys were piling their plates high, and there were even leftovers. We even got to take the leftovers home with us which our family enjoyed for several days (many catering companies do not let you do this). They made up a special container for the bride and groom to take with them on their honeymoon, which they ate for later dinner and breakfast the next day. We can't say enough about Java Haus and highly recommend them to anyone considering using them for a wedding or special event!! If we find some pictures of the buffet tables, will will...
Read moreSorry this is going to be long. My husband and I used to come here every weekend either a Saturday or Sunday breakfast to grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich. We stopped coming in the last couple months because the service has really gone down. We noticed new faces and they seemed to be stressed overwhelmed, messing up my coffee and having to remake it a couple times. The food has always been good and we never minded waiting. But we hate bad service. I tried to give it another chance last week before work. But the espresso machine was down and the girl seemed not too concerned about it, I ordered a sandwich and went over to Snoho Mojo to get my coffee which was annoying. I tried one last time this morning. I have never waited 21 minutes in a your drive through, even when you were slammed. I needed to get to work, this was ridiculous. There was only one car in front of me and a small family inside. I ordered my usual iced drink, and a turkey sandwich. The girl was nice but seemed frazzled, she handed my my drink and it was over full so it spilled inside my truck door and on my jeans. She took my drink and wiped the top of my cup with a dirty rag and handed me a dirty rag to clean up my truck. Still hadn't gotten my sandwich. Finally I got my sandwich, no apology for the long wait. I left pissed off and with sticky hands. No plans on ever returning, we will go across the street from now on. Get a...
Read moreUsually the service is better I was very disappointed today. I usually go through the drive through but I have had several employees ask that I call in my orders as I usually buy multiple breakfast sandwiches for my crew. I called in and they gave me a 15 min eta. I ordered 4 Mack Daddies with( No Mayo) and 1 full Spanish sunrise sandwich. I waited the 15 minutes and went in. There was a line which was fine. They informed me that 4 of the sandwiches were done it would just be a minute. Then I waited and waited as they took peoples food out to them that had ordered way after I had gone to the counter. They walked past me sitting at the table many times. I finally was a little fed up and said to the girl could you please check on my order. She seemed suprised and asked what I ordered. The sandwiches had been sitting there getting cold for quite some time they had simply forgotten about me. Which hey things happen…. I left and opened up the bag the first Mack Daddy the bagel was black. Once I got to work I opened them up and they were all that way I ordered them with no mayo and it looked as though they just scraped it off after they realized they messed up and threw it back under the toaster. I tried it even burnt and could definitely taste the mayo. The only sandwich that was edible was the...
