Mission San Miguel Arcángel is a Spanish mission in San Miguel, California. It was established on July 25, 1797 by the Franciscan order, on a site chosen specifically due to the large number of Salinan Indians that inhabited the area, whom the Spanish priests wanted to evangelize.

Unfortunately, the inside of the actual church wasn't accessible for us the time we came bought it sure preserves much history! Restrooms for gladly available and the gift shop shocked us! The reason this didn't get four stars from me was because of one rare object that we were trying so hard to find along our road trip through out the Christian stores. This IS a BEAUTIFUL church! I was so happy that they WERE open on Sunday, as we were traveling through & their website/ somewhere on Google it said they were closed on Sunday?
