Joplin Park — Attraction in South Charleston

I've went to this park since I was a small child. My kids love to take their scooters or bikes here. There's a nice paved walkway around the perimeter for you to walk on with exercise equipment every so many feet. There's a really nice dog park so your furry friends can socialize as well. Our dogs love it! They also have plastic bags to clean up after your dogs so it can be disposed of. There's a nice parking lot, swings, picnic tables, trash cans all around the park, tennis and basketball courts, playground, teeter totters, a huge field and restrooms. A small but great park in the South Charleston area! There are a couple basketball courts, 2 tennis courts and they even have pickleball lines on the tennis courts! There's a playground and one main shelter with one or two other picnic tables and benches scattered. There's a small fenced in dog park (which is why I go), and it's in the shade which is a huge plus! It's in the back left corner of the park and someone keeps water jugs filled and a water bowl is left there. There are 2 bathrooms there but I don't know the condition of them. All around- a quaint but nice park, especially if you need your dog to get some energy out and socialize...

Good size park, my kids love going here because there's plenty of space to run and play. It's good to have the option to bring our dog since they have a dog area. They also have a large loop around the park that you can walk or ride a bike and it has exercise stations all the way around it. The park also has a swings, a playground, and see saws, a basketball court and tennis court, shelters with grills, and bathrooms. The only downside is when people go there and tear up signs or break equipment and it sometimes takes longer than you'd expect for it to be fixed. It is however a park I...
