Blaine O'Neal Park — Attraction in South Daytona

This Park is a great place for a morning walk!! I've been walking around the lake everyday for weeks now, and I've really enjoy it. However, the path around the lake desperately needs some attention (smoothed out). There is the occasional bum or 2 that are either sleeping in the bushes, or laying on the table/ground in the pavilion. This park, like most in South Daytona is well maintained. They keep a fountain going to boost the oxygen content in the pond so it does not turn too green. I like to fish and would love to catch one now and then. However; this park's pond is also like many others in that it is full of invasive ducks and native turtles; but, sadly few fish. There is NOT a playground. Looks like it's been dug up recently, maybe they are going to build a new one? Also, no restrooms. I used the bathroom at the Shell gas station right next door.
