Our family reunion at this park last week was truly unforgettable! It had been years since my last visit, and I was impressed by the park's expansive grounds and excellent amenities. We organized our gathering at this picturesque location, followed by a delightful private swim party at the nearby recreation center. Despite the hot weather, we capped off the day with fireworks and enjoyed our favorite family recipes.
The park's layout was ideal, with a fantastic playground that kept the kids entertained and gazebos conveniently located for us to keep a close eye on them. We did encounter a minor issue with gazebo availability, as one lady claimed she had reserved one. Thankfully, the local police handled the situation with professionalism and courtesy, clarifying that gazebos are first-come, first-served. They even joked about joining us later when our food was ready & hopefully Kava too, adding a humorous touch to the day!
Despite this brief hiccup, our family had an incredible time, especially since many brought their own canopies and chairs to enhance the experience. It was a day filled with laughter, delicious food, and cherished memories that we will treasure for years to come. We are grateful for the park's excellent facilities and the helpful assistance from the authorities. We are already looking forward to returning for future gatherings!
One area that could use improvement was the restroom facilities. Unfortunately, there was a shortage of toilet paper, and one of the toilets had issues with flushing properly, which made for a less than pleasant experience. Given the hot and humid weather, it was uncomfortable, and I nearly felt faint. Hopefully, this can be addressed for future...
Read moreOquirrh rec. Is the most reasonable priced rec center I've found in Utah so far. Not only is the price the lowest but you get a lot more for your money. The staff is friendly and very helpful, most of the life guards are amazing. I LOVE the pool, the fact that it's all inclusive for seniors, teens, families, kids, etc.. There are lap lanes, a resistance river (for adults)/ lazy river(for kids), a slide, water fountains in the kid area and a couple hot tubs. Outside of the pool area they have a steam room- a lot of people use essential oils in there which makes it even more luxurious! There is also a sauna. Locker rooms for men, women and families- the locker and shower areas are fairly clean although i do feel there is room for improvement there, just bring shower shoes. Plenty of classes to take either included in your membership or something you can pay additionally for. Basketball courts, tennis, and a medium sized gym. They are also expanding! I can't wait to see what that will bring, I'm personally hoping for a bigger gym area, maybe a track...
Read moreWe have lived a short distance from here for years, but this was our first time visiting! It's an amazing park with lots of things to do for all ages I will say there are a lot of ropes! My 6 year old loved it and excelled, but my 3 year old needed a lot of help. I wish there were alternative ways besides climbing ropes that you could get to the taller slides, but otherwise, it was a great time! There are a lot of benches for parents to observe, covered seating, walking pathways, adventurous playhouses, slides, small trampolines, swings, spinning activities, etc... We also brought our dog and I could easily walk on pathways around the park while the kids played. There's also a huge...
