My experience here with my 2 boys (5 and 7) was excellent! First of all, Iwas glad that they tried to do many of the events in the indoor arena so it was not hot, but quite comfortable. There is an ATM machine inside. There is no admission fee and I liked the smaller feel of this fair compared to the state fair.
We enjoyed viewing the gallery of amazing artwork and observed educational displays of different sizes of bird eggs from ostrich down to hummingbird size. The a Planetarium had a fun rock collecting game the boys loved. They also did a science based presentation which was also engaging and educational. We paid for the kids to hold soft little bunny rabbits and to do the pony ride. They had free wagon rides and face painting as well as bounce houses and obstacle course. The only suggestion I would have is to do the face painting inside if possible cuz As a parent I was not willing to stand in line in the sun for that.
I loved the enthusiasm and knowledge of the family doing the wagon ride and their engagement and willingness to answer dozens of questions. I wasn’t as satisfied with the food options and if they could get more variety and quantity would be advisable. Also the hand wash station by the petting zoo was out of water and my son had already put soap on his hands, so luckily I was able to use some water from my water bottle.
Overall a very enjoyable family friendly environment. Laid back, easy going atmosphere, almost felt like a huge family reunion! We’ll plan to come...
Read moreI have been at this facility for a few years there is always issues with Maintenance on the grounds. The Roads are taken care of maybe ever few months when there is a big show or Event which isn't very often. The Barns have flooded multiple times. They take days to get anyone out to fix any issues we went 2 months without water in my barn because they couldn't call out the plumber so we had to connect multiple hoses to get water to the barn. They have some ok stalls some that I wouldn't ever put my horse in they only have 2 decent barns and 2 cinder block barns that are ok but are so old I wouldn’t want to use them. The Facility needs a face lift. They also can move you out of your stall and into another with little to no notice. The outdoor riding facilities are never worked so you don’t have many options in the winter to ride. They rent out the indoor arena to non horse related events almost every weekend. The facility is run by a man who hates horses and has no idea what horses need. You have to deal with awful people and children that run around causing issues with horses for example my horse was hit with a cleaning fork in the face. There is no security we have had hay stolen etc. its decent place to board for the price but after you look at the costs and the damages you would have been better off paying full board at...
