Swig — Restaurant in South Jordan

I truly dislike leaving negative reviews as I understand that unexpected situations can happen. However, this experience was overall very disappointing. I visited this location with my family and went through the drive thru where we waited a significant amount of time for an employee to take our order.

I am not sure if the store was short staffed that evening but the employee taking orders seemed to be taking quite a while. I understand that providing good service is important and perhaps she knew the customer or was just being very friendly, but she was chatting with them and petting their dog for several minutes. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes while other cars began to line up behind us.

Once she finished with that customer she went inside without acknowledging us, no greeting or communication of any kind. At that point I was frustrated and when we finally reached the window I decided to leave without placing an order. The entire experience left us feeling ignored.

I love swig and spend way too much money here. However, they have started to put alot of ice in their drinks. I don't know if this a just a problem with staff training, but the shrinkflation is real. I get light ice every time and the cup is still filled 3/4 way with ice. I'd rather pay a little extra for a drink rather than get a cup literally full of ice. Just wanted to give my feedback. Love the drinks, but the excessive ice has become a real problem. And it's not even because I feel like I am getting ripped off. It's just annoying cause I want a more drink. Whether I pay $1 or $10, i don't want all ice. Like a 44oz should last me a couple hours to sip on. Not 5 mins. We get barely any liquid anymore. I'd only give this feedback if it was constant. The service at this location is top-notch! Emery is THE best!!! I got a nutcracker at a different location that was closer to my house. After letting it cool down awhile, I excitedly went to take a sip of delicious creamy flavored chocolate......only to be disappointed with hot water that had the ever so slight flavoring of a wanna be chocolate. I was really disappointed. I googled the swig next to my work and called. I talked to Emery and she said that she could fix it. When I got to the location, Emery remembered me and we discussed how I could get another nutcracker. I got my drink quickly and the whole drink was a delicious soothing liquid ambrosia to my grumpy butt (I hate mornings).
