Strictly Fish & Corals — Attraction in South Miami

Every business in this country are good to make a sale but then they forget about you . I want to tell you my story . I bought a Redsea tank less than 4 yrs ago but unfortunately this month it burst . Luckily I was home so I managed to hold the front glass and with the help of my wife we managed to tied the tank with straps and holder it together. At the time of the Iccident I called the store to ask what I should do and what to do so Luis gave me the number of Dave (part-owner). When I called him the first things he said , you need to Email Reese’s and they will respond to you . Well it was Sunday no one will respond to me and also they told me that they will take between 24to 48 hrs to respond to you . My point that I want to make , they did not help me for anything, 150 gallon tank that burst they should had offer to come to my house and assist me with this issue and help me to fix the problem until we could decide what to do. Mr. Dave did not even call me back and ask if I had resolved the issue or if I will need anything. This showed you how people are. They all good to sell you 4000$ tank but nothing to help you when you probably need someone that probably deal with this very often. For sure I will never purchase a tank from them , they need to learn what is customers service and what they need to do when things happened . I’m very disappointed for they service and for their response. Thanks God I was home because I could have damaged 14 floors of my building and I could have a big law sue for each of them. Employees eager to help. Very knowledgeable staff and I love coming here, store is clean and animals are kept healthy.

Edit: I've come back to implore you to go to this shop if you have any marine needs. The employees here are honestly so educated in this field, I'm jealous of their knowledge. I had an issue with brown algae in my new 5 gallon tank and they offered a solution that has worked perfectly as appose to the internet that gave me many different responses as to what it might be.

Edit 2: Been shopping here for about a month now, one of the clowns I got from here had Ick. It's my fault for not having a quarantine tank as I just don't have space. None the less they are working with me to figure out how to get this issue resolved. Can't blame the ick on them, it's hard to identify and at the fish shop I work at I always feel horrible when I find out the fish we sold had Ick.

Edit 3: I've now bought about 5 clowns from this shop. All going to different tanks, they all got ick. I've done everything I can but there has to be something going on with the supply. I even tried having them in a separate tank that had no fish and no bottom. These clowns still got ick, I tried acclimating them perfectly and did everything in the book to keep this fish as calm as possible.

Not to say strictly fish only sells fish with ick. To clarify, only the clowns I buy from them get ick. My wrasse and angel are doing great. They say they get them from ORA which is reputable, but something...

Strictly sickly. Beautiful store, Great customer service, and amazing selection of both fish and corals. Everything is a little overpriced but they are ok with haggling a little on the price. When I first started I never had any luck keeping a single fish from this store. After spending countless amounts of money on fish and learning, with time I realized that it wasn't me or my tank. I came to realize that all their fish and all their systems are full of ich/parasites/bacterias. So I decided to stop going and I haven't been there in about 8 months. I visited there the other day (08/23/2017) to buy a lid for my tank and I noticed a beautiful small powder brown tang, asked the owner's son to feed it and asked of the condition of the fish. The fish looked healthy and was eating . So I decided to buy the fish and take it home. From my experience with them I went and threw the fish in my 75 gallon quarantine tank that I treat with copper and prazi pro. That tank has been running for a few months and has had a pyramid butterfly fish in it for about 2 weeks. That pyramid butterfly is doing great super healthy and eating frozen foods.
