Since the switch over years ago with the director(?) This place has made remarkable changes. You are actually heard and if they can help you they do. The system of picking your own items from categories of food items is helpful, as I am no longer wasting items and getting items more specific to planning our meals. You still have a volunteer here or there that may be overreactive and make you feel a little uncomfortable , but is reassuring to know that with the new director it will be straightened out peacefully. I have to say they have been wonderful and like angels when it comes to school supplies, Christmas, etc Update Not sure what happened... I guess people get burnt out after a while. I had 10 bags of nice donations to drop off today. Even waited a week for their heater to be replaced, so that they had room. I pulled in to the alley. I then entered the building to say I am going to unload donations by door, move the car out of alley and walk them in. No one was there. I then proceed to park my car and am getting chased down saying I'm on camera and cant leave my stuff, its against the law, etc. Made to feel criminal almost. I'll...

This place helped me with medical equipment for my mom when she was with us at no cost, all they ask is to return it. So in return all the medical equipment my mom acquired when she was with us was donated to them to help others. Can't express how dedicated and kind all of the volunteers are there.
