The Golden Lion — Restaurant in South Milwaukee

What a downright horrible place. We were greeted by a lot of mean stares as we entered into the bar. The bartender completely ignored us until we sat down where we were hollared to by a loud and rude "where are you ID's" to which everyone in the bar turned and stared at us making me and my group feel out of place very quickly. Then after about 5 minutes he yelled back to us saying that we had to get up and walk all the way around the bar if we wanted to order anything. Now I understand its a neighborhood bar so a lot of regulars tend here but to single us out for what ever reason like that is terrible customer service, and a true testament to what this bartender had going for him. Friday was the wing special which my group had and it was nothing special at all, 6 pepper sauce was extremely salty and had no balance of flavor, I don't know where they get 6 peppers out of that but it wasnt present in the dry rub, while the BBQ was a slightly watered down disrespect to BBQ sauce everywhere. Outside... looked like a legit hole in the wall. Walk inside. Omg how amazing. They did such a great job. Enough room for pool. Be a bit tight if playing darts too. Cool horseshoe bar. Awesome vibe. Owner was down to earth and def not a d*
