We visited the South Milwaukee Arcade for the first time on a Saturday evening. The bar was not overly crowded (it looked like mostly regulars), and there were plenty of bowling lanes open, which is why our group chose to visit. It is often hard to find bowling open on a Saturday evening, so we were pleasantly surprised.
The drinks are inexpensive, however do know this is a CASH ONLY bar for everything – bowling shoes, games, drinks, and food. There is an ATM, but who wants to pay a $2.50 fee if they have to? Come prepared and bring cash with you. We had some pizza while we were there; the menu is all bar food, but the pizza was good and the prices for food were inexpensive as well.
We had an enjoyable evening bowling and played two games with 8 people. By 10PM, we were the only people bowling on the 8-ish or so lanes available. The ball selection isn’t as good as larger places, but with a bit of looking one should be able to find something that works for them.
