South Salt Lake has a little gem right here!! I visit this park daily with my dog. The city does a great job with the maintenance. The pavilions are always clean, they provide dog waste bags, and the trash is emptied daily. I love the walk path that takes you around the park. You pass a Veterans memorial and some trees with memorial plaques. There are creeks that run through it with cute little bridges and a Monarch Butterfly garden . There's 2 playgrounds for kiddos and benches placed throughout the park to enjoy a quick rest. A few years ago they added a community garden and a little book exchange box. I highly recommend this park. Whether you want to rent a pavilion for an event, visit for a lunch in the shade, walk your dog, watch the ducks and squirrels, let your kids get some energy out or whatever! It's a wonderful and...

This park is one of those places everybody ends up together. Playing with dogs, kids parties, BBQ's and soccer games. Featuring Millcreek passing through, with ducks floating down. A cement walkway winds it's way through the periphery of the park around Four picnic pavilions, two huge playgrounds and a small climbing wall. There are nice metal benches to sit and enjoy the sunlight. The West pavilion is usually occupied by random homeless people with their bikes. I've not had any issue with them...
Read moreFitts park is better known as "The Duck Park". It has been a favorite of mine since childbood. There is a stream that runs through the park that attracts many birds but especially ducks. The trees in this park are nice and mature so the park is not lacking a shady place to sit and picnic. The playgrounds are neat because they are unique and unusual and not the same old run of the mill stuff. The only reason i gave this park 4 instead of 5 stars is ive noticed there may be a bit of drug activity going on but it seems to be the same small crowd of people and the south salt lake police are very good at their jobs so I dont expect the problem...
