Siesta Motel — Hotel in South Salt Lake

clean quiet affordable. but not very many extras. there was a bed nightstand table chair and bathtub/shower and sink and a phone and TV. so just basic. oh and shampoo and hand soap and 2 washclothes, and two towels. you have to pay a deposit for remote for TV, and when my BF left that morning to go get breakfast I was in the tub, the host/attendant on duty came in to our room and I didn't hear her she let herself in and told me thru the door I was taking a bath that I needed to check out. I apologized and rushed getting dressed and packing my/our stuff up and getting out of the room, while I called my BF to tell him I was told to check out and to come get me and I looked at my phone to see the time it was only 10:00 am, and checkout was at 11:00 am, so the lady at the front desk had come in with her own key thinking my BF had left and was surprised when she heard someone in the tub, and told me I had to check out. it was an hour early. I also have some items that were in our room and I did not notice till I had left, they were missing. so I am sure that when she came in and I was in the tub and she saw our stuff still there she happened to help herself and take a few things. I would fire an employee that stole from customers and kicked them out an hour early. I think it was messed up, and I will never stay here again. very rude.... Thiefs, I cannot stand a thief or liar. she was very very rude, to kick me out an hour early and steal things also#!! do not stay here they will steal...

So The lady who was on duty at the time was an absolute nightmare. When she approached my friend in the parking lot her disposition was aggressive, hostile, accusatory and demeaning. I was floored with her behavior. Unprovoked and absolutely unnecessary to say the least. Making claims that my friend wasn't a guest on the establishment. Now after speaking with the manager on the phone she still continued to berate and demean my friend and make out of line comments. The police came and spoke with all parties involved and even after raising the management on the phone she was asked to leave the property. The police made no arrests because they too sided with us. After the police departed the premises the woman who was on duty had her boyfriend intimidate my friend. Now as a small business owner myself I can under no circumstances imagine a situation that would warrant an intimidation/scare tactic such as the one that was pulled tonight. It disgusts me to think local businesses can employ individuals who employ those tactics on paying customers. I will be monitoring this establishment to see if any recourse is done to correct this individual or remove her from the business. And after careful consideration I informed my neighbor who works at KSL 5 News of the issue. We can not tolerate this type of behavior in our city. I no longer support this establishment, or it's...

avoid staying at the siesta motel if you have other options.

first impression was neutral. comparatively fairly priced for a last minute room.

I couldn't get the front desk to even acknowledge me when I attempted to address the lack of hot water.

i was able to witness 2 separate confrontations with the woman working the front desk and some other people staying the 1 night i had a room here. there was a complication a few rooms down that had to be settled with the police. not even an hour later I hear this woman threatening to call the cops again on another couple that just checked in.

I understand that water heaters go out at times and there are pressures with working in a rough neighborhood. I cant find the justification for not even acknowledging the concerns of your guests and threatening police involvement for every confrontation.
