5,5,5,5....!!! Yowsa! Ya gotta hit it. If you don't think you like middle eastern cuisine you will after this. Try the koofteh meatballs...safe way to dip your toe into Persian / middle eastern cuisine. Especially here. I have very mixed feelings on reviewing this one because it feels like a hidden gem I'd like to keep to myself. We tried the hummus appetizer. Fantastic! Honestly the best hummus I've ever had. I know ya think to yourself....ah come on how much different can one hummus be from another?! The flavor and the creaminess was outstanding! Salads we had the house dressing and the house bleu cheese. Both fantastic and homemade! Crispy veggies, fresh.... Entrees we then did the moussaka, gyro plate and koofteh meatballs. Unbelievable! Really almost not fair to be that good. The moussaka was like if a meatloaf and a lasagna had this perfect baby. Eggplant boarders and edges with the scrumptious meaty filling and a sauce to die for. The koofteh was just the right amount of sweet, with the bite of the tomato and the heartyness of the meat itself. The gyro meat was the least impressive but was still just superb, done right. The tzatziki sauce was dynamite. Just great! Really! The critique on the food would be the rice. It was well... Average. Room for o improvement for sure. Things I don't rate on: Environment: not great. An old pizza hut maybe. Odd decor choices but felt good enough. Service: well our waiter was fine but they were very busy and very short handed. Funny enough our waiter literally quit and left in the middle. So service was a 1 but I'd go again tomorrow with the same service. Food was fantastic!

From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to a Mediterranean garden oasis—complete with flowing water features, statues, and blooming flowers. It’s like dining in a sun-soaked courtyard by the sea. Yes, it’s a little kitschy—but in the best way. It totally adds to the charm. I’ve been here a few times, and every visit’s been a win. It has a true mom-and-pop vibe, the staff is always warm, and while things can slow down when it’s busy, that just means everything’s made fresh—and worth the wait. (I don’t mind. I came to enjoy, not rush.) This round: We started with a crisp, fresh salad and their classic hummus with pita—simple, bright, and the perfect kickoff. I had the Koofteh Meatballs—jumbo Persian-style beef meatballs stuffed with apricots, simmered in a tangy tomato sauce and served with basmati rice. The meat? Tender. The sauce? A whole flavor moment. My other half went with the Bagala Polow, a slow-stewed lamb shank served on dill basmati rice with lima beans and a side of lamb au jus. That dill rice? Unexpected and so, so good. Bonus points for the community vibes: While we were dining, someone celebrated a birthday—and they shared their mango cake with the whole restaurant. Such a sweet surprise that shows the spirit of the place. Final thoughts: Decor – Slightly kitschy, totally charming. Like eating in a postcard. Food – Flavorful, fresh, and made with heart. Community – The kind of place that turns strangers into dinner party guests. Our go-to for Mediterranean eats—highly recommend!

Great hidden gem in SLC away from the dense concentration of restaurants in the downtown area. It's a small easy to miss restaurant on among other commercial businesses. But the interior is cozy and the servers are welcoming. Although this is a Middle Eastern/Mediterranean place, the menu consisted of denoted Halal items as well as pork and alcohol (oh the irony). The food here is amazing. We had the Appetizer Sampler (good if you want to sample their appetizer menu), Spanikopita/Burek (baked crispy filo pastry filled with spinach & feta cheese-love it!), Chicken Lime and Rice Soup (makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside), Turkish Sis Kabob Platter (love the meat skewers, and grilled eggplant, topped with tomato sauce & shallot yogurt). Another time I tried their Lamb Burger and fries, and I can confidently say it's a top contender with some of the best burgers in town-that's a must try! Only caveat I have with this place is, one time I was charged a greater tip amount than what I've recorded; the server claimed my writing was illegible, but the total amount including the food and tip reflected my initial tip written. Write legible!

Incredibly confused about the good reviews for this establishment. Maybe service and food were good three months ago. However, was absolutely NOT the case tonight (9/11/24). For starters, we were 1 of three tables with max of a four top and service was extremely slow. I know everyone says this but I used to be a waitress so I know how these things go. It took almost forty minutes for food to be served. With no waiter attention. They seemed to be taking ample smoke breaks. We Let it slide though since it had good reviews. Ordered the Kubideh wrap and the gyro platter. Food looked okay on arrival despite portions being extremely strange and irregular. The kubideh had maybe twelve fries on a plate. Wrap contained One extremely small piece of meat with an alarming large glob of cheese on top (none was to be found the rest of the wrap). The beef resembled more of a cat turd than actual meat. The gyro plate had 3/4 plate full of mushy flavorless rice, and then small over cooked lamb and beef. However, despite looking inconsistent and unappetizing it didn’t look like it was a health hazard. Seemed basically edible. I was wrong. A couple bites to find that the basil in my food was soggy, black and rotting. Very obviously so and yet it was served to me anyways?? No argument can be made to say the cooks didn’t see the rotting basil. They knew it and served it anyways. Disgusting. It took another thirty minutes to get the attention of the waiters to address the issue. Then it took two different waiters and a manager to confirm it was rotten. Instead of taking it off I was charged partial because I ate two fries. I informed them I would not be paying for any of that plate. The manager refusing still to take the fries off forced the poor waiter to pay the food. Who tf runs a business this way and how tf are they still in business??. Would never ever return here. A staff that doesn’t care about consistency in portions nor the freshness of their food should not be serving food. People DIE from food poisoning. Shame on everyone who works at this...

The food is great, but the wait times are terrible. There were only two or three other tables when we got there and it still took 45 minutes for 2 entrees to be brought out, one of the people in our party with a side salad got their side salad at least a 1/2 hour before everyone else got their food. I was starting to think that maybe they forgot about us. The time before that when we came, everyone in the party received their food except for one person and that person got their food an hour after everyone else did when everyone else was done eating. There were only four people in our group. it would be more understandable if they were busy and the kitchen was overwhelmed, but we came in when it was slow, with almost no one in the restaurant and very few cars in the parking lot so 45min- 1 hour felt like a very long time to wait for two entrées….We were also overcharged both times that we came in, not a large amount, but we ordered small side salads and were charged for medium side salads both times. It’s only a few dollars difference, but we eat out on a budget, and it makes a difference to be charged for something more expensive than what we ordered because we ordered what we can afford. We have no way of knowing whether the salads that we received were the small salads that we ordered or the medium salads listed on the receipt because there were no photos on the menu to compare. Overall, the food is great, I think maybe they’re just a little understaffed and need to work on accuracy when putting orders in the computer. I would say don’t come if you’re in any sort of rush, and maybe show up at least 45 minutes to an hour before you expect to...
