I've been coming here since around 2008 and have witnessed changes in the management and team. I miss the previous management and team. They made me feel more at home.
Yesterday I had a negative experience with an employee in that I asked politely from somewhat of a distance but without yelling, if someone can open a fitting room for me. I didn't want to lose my place. So I didn't want to wander too far. I had her eye contact but she chose to ignore me. A few minutes later I asked again without being unpleasant about it. She finally came over and unlocked the door. I thanked her.
Then later I asked to be let in again. I had one item. She told me, no, the fitting rooms are now locked up. I didn't know they stop letting people use them a half hour before closing. I explained I had one item but she wouldn't let me in.
Anyway, it wasn't a pleasant experience, and although they've extended their hours, I had been accustomed to more courteous service. So I mentioned my experience to a manger/lead who said she'd address the matter.
Overall, the store didn't have quite the appeal it once had and the fitting room did smell of urine. Too bad. It was once a very nice place to shop, and probably the best Goodwill...
Read moreI just spent an hour in there looking for bags & storage items I need, & for decorations for our local Auto Body Shop offices… and an angry employee at checkout instantly ripped every single tag off my items and threw those in the garbage behind her, and then claimed áll this stuff had just come in; actually, for the first time in years I had stopped in last week, and saw some of the same things there. Admittedly, some of the items had multiple price tags, with little difference in $ - it is a MESS in the back section, with aisles full of stuff and tags everywhere. Said checker stormed into the back with now priceless items, then returned stating tags were five weeks old⁉️ What a liar; she'd thrown the tags. She was so angry, and literally re-priced everything where I stood, to about triple the amounts. Wow. She then yelled she wasn't going to let any of it go for any less. I calmly told her apparently she doesn't want to sell anything. And left. She threw all the stuff behind her, angrily....

Tried to donate my dads old suits which are in perfect condition today just to find out that they only have specific days and hours that they accept donations and today wasn't one of them. I was going to leave the bagged items anyway but an employee came out to tell me that I couldn't. I told him that he could either take them or that I could just throw them away in the dumpsters next to me. He indicated that I could put them in the dumpster and then walked away. If a charity makes it that difficult to donate, then they don't deserve your donations. Take them somewhere where they will be appreciated. Their drop off location is almost impossible to maneuver around anyway if you are even able to locate it.
