On The Mend Medical Supplies & Equipment — Attraction in Southbury

I had shoulder replacement surgery recently and many people recommended that I get a recliner chair for sleeping. I found On the Mend in Southbury and called. I spoke to Caron, who was delightful to talk with, and gave me all the information I needed to make the decision to get the chair. Then my surgery got postponed and I called her in a panic because I didn't want to lose the chair because someone else might book it. She was so kind and told me not to worry because she would just put it on reserve to hold it until I got a new date. My surgery was rescheduled rather quickly and her son, Max, helped deliver the chair. Again, he and the other guy were so helpful, took their time explaining how everything worked and telling me if I had any issues to just call and someone would come out to help. Everyone I spoke to at On the Mend was so kind and friendly, I felt like I was a relative and they were my family! Really!! Caron was the person I spoke with the most and as soon as I have recovered, I am going to take a ride to Southbury to thank her in person. This is a wonderful company that took care of me at a very stressful time! And, by the way, that chair was a terrific find. We Love You CHRISTINE at On The Mend! Your selfless act of doing all you could to get a Hoyer Lift delivery added to a fully booked delivery schedule, spur of the moment, within minutes of my desperate call for help, was the greatest gift a family could have asked for! We cannot thank you enough! Your speedy and efficient actions granted mom discharge from the ER immediately after the Hoyer Lift was in place, and she was able to go back to her and dad’s Senior Living residence, as the stipulation for return was a Hoyer lift in place. The hospital nor the Senior Living facility could secure or promise a Hoyer lift for at least another 48 hours… I immediately thought of “On The Mend” a company we utilized for the first time back in 2020 for medical equipment during Covid for my dad… They have always been a company that puts the customer first, but what transpired on a Saturday within moments of contact with Christine was just unbelievable, but in the best way possible way! We were overjoyed with tears as mom did not have to stay in the ER or be sent to a Private Pay Rehab, costing thousands and thousands of dollars out of pocket. We highly recommend Liam, Marci, and whole crew at On The Mend! They were a Godsend to our family in making sure that when our 90 year old father was released from rehab after a fall, his home was properly outfitted with all of the equipment he needs to live safety and independently in his apartment, including grab bars, safety railings, and adaptive equipment in the bathroom to protect from future falls. They worked quickly in a short time frame to get everything done, and ensured it was done properly. Liam was responsive and a proactive communicator, Marci kind and very professional confirming accuracy in logistics and billing, and the delivery/installation guys could not have been more polite or helpful.
