Went to buy tickets early for the Star Wars movie. I had tried to look up ticket information online but they donāt even have a functioning website so then I tried to call and the phone number online didnāt work either. After I bought tickets and was walking out a guy behind the counter shouted ācan you walk out on the other side?ā very rudely. There was no sign or rope marking where I couldnāt walk and I was just walking through the lobby like every other person there. The drywall and paint looked rushed and messy. The middle stall was out of order and there was water leaking out, the soap dispenser had nothing in it (both menās and womenās). My husband said the menās room was really large but there were only 2 urinals so after the movie got out there was a long line out the door. My 97 yr old grandma and mom sat in the first two seats so they could get out easily but neither of their seats worked so they couldnāt use any of the features. I understand they want to profit from star wars and Christmas gift cards but after taking so long to open in the first place we were all unimpressed. If you donāt get there very early you wonāt be able to find seats together or youāll be stuck in the front row. A different occasion, my parents were meeting another couple who was already inside the theatre with two seats saved next to them but my parents were told the movie was sold out so they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon arrival on Saturday June 21st 2025 hitting traffic from danbury to southbury river view to watch 28 years later we had no time to eat our deli sandwich due to this theater playing 5 mins of previews. So we figure they dont make deli sandwiches we will go to nardellis and eat it there. Shouldn't be a big deal at all since we come here frequently and always buy popcorn drinks candy etc. James could approach the situation better bye understanding one time that due to traffic and timing does not always work out well to just waive a policy which doesn't make no sense at all. Because this business doesn't make sandwiches. I cant just eat popcorn after working hard all day long. So I get kicked out of a movie. Thats pity and frowed upon as I leave good word of mouth of this theater but not anymore. To me there should be leniency. And a bit understanding towards certain situations. Not happy at all. Bad customer service to clients who have came to this theater and recommendations for many years.
*James lied and said the theater was not busy. There was almost no where to sit at all! If I would of waited I would of not been able to sit anywhere decent in your theater start doing assigned seating with longer than 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāve been to these theatres twice since they opened. The second time was a last-minute decision to take our young kids to a movie. My husband ordered the tix online with no issues. He dropped us off and went to park the car (lots of convenient parking - including chargers for EVs around the side)...by the time he got back, Iād already picked up our tix and gotten snacks and drinks for everyone.
There arenāt many seats per theatre (the heated recliners take up lots of room), so in order to all sit together we ended up sitting in the front row. I was worried, especially since I usually get motion sickness...but we all still really enjoyed it! I guess the reclining seats helped more than Iād expected.
So far, weāve had two great experiences here. My only possible concern would be that the ladies restroom only has three stalls and two sinks, which seems like it wonāt be enough when a packed movie lets out - especially given there are 8 theatres; but maybe theyāll build more. Iām also assuming tix prices will increase at some point, but itās been a treat to take the whole family for a movie (and snacks) and barely spend...
