Went here yesterday. I had a $110.00 gift card. I went to pay and the cashier said Oh, We have to get the manager we have a new system and we no longer accept these gift cards. Manager comes over and tells me These cards are old and are only loaded in increments of 50. They have a new system and they no longer accept these gift cards. She will honor it for fifty dollars. I said no Thank you. I personally bought the gift card and I know there's a $110 on there. Isn't the number you can call on the back to check for a balance? She says no , but i'm the manager and we only load These cards for fifty dollars. I said well, I'm sorry. There has to be a mistake because I personally bought this card myself and I know exactly what is on it. She continued to argue with me, She was rude, loud, Making a scene and everybody in line at both sides of me were staring. I was so embarrassed. She said I can go call my manager, but she's gonna tell you the same thing. Just as she stated , she called her manager supposedly and came back and told me there was nothing she could do. I said well i'm not willing to take a fifty dollar loss because you're not even taking this card to find out the proper balance. She told me there was no way to check the balance. There was no phone number to call and I either accepted the fifty dollars or not. I told her absolutely not, nor would I even pay for anything there now because of the way she talked to me and treated me in front of all of these people. She made me feel like a criminal. I got outside, I was so humiliated. I flipped the card over and there was a scan option on there. I hit it with my phone in low and behold. The balance came up immediately at a hundred and ten dollar. Here's the kicker when I went to leave the store. She had my gift card in her hand I told her I'll take the gift card back please and she was hesitant stating why your not going to be able to use it. Well, I did I went to the other Trentwood farms and my bill was a $106.35 and I have a balance of $3.65 left. This is very sad because I love going here. They seem to have fresh produce but honestly because she treated me that way.I will not be back to either one other stores. I cannot believe the way she talked to me and treated me and how she wouldn't even take the card and try to find out the proper balance. I hope she sees this and chooses to do better as a store manager because that was completely unprofessional.Very rude and truthfully When a story leaves a bad taste in your mouth like that , you just have no...
Read moreI have shopped here for years. I hope to go back soon and I truly hope the reasons for this rating is temporary. I stopped on today. 5/1 around 1 p.m. the place was very busy. The line for the deli long and disturbing. There was no distancing. People were lined up for a good 20' and no one was further apart than 3-4 feet. The check out was worse. As long as this practice continues I will not shop here again. At 66 with copd, this business is just too dangerous during this time. UPDATE: As I mentioned, I have shopped here for years and had to give them another look. I picked a time when the lot was not as full a few days after the last review. 20-25 customers. The good - no prob with distancing. This is likely due to the smaller amount of customers than any direction of trentwood. Also good, cashiers were gloves and masks. The bad - employee stocking dry goods no gloves no mask. Another restocking deli had gloves and mask but I should note the mask was worn beneath her chin. But the most alarming was the 5-6 employees manning the deli counter. All wore gloves, none, let me repeat NONE wore masks. The food they serve at the deli is going to be eaten from the package, unlike raw meat to be cooked and likely eliminate and risk. But the deli products likely won't be cooked. I dont know if there is a state health directive, but I will be looking into that next. Wake up Trentwood, the wearing of masks is to protect your customers. As evidenced by this follow up visit, Trentwood has little interest in ensuring the safety of those that make it possible for them to exist. For the employees of Trentwood, you must take some personal responsibility for potentially sickening others as well. Regardless of the lackadaisical attitude toward the protection of your customers and fellow employees by your employer, you can choose to wear a face covering. Why dont you care? Let me be fair, there were several customers without face covering. Those were jeopardizing our health as well. Trentwood could stop this. A simple sign NO FACE COVERING - NO SERVICE. Once again I left without a purchase....
Read moreATTENTION THIS STORE IS NOT FOLLOWING THE GOVERNORS MANDATE ON MASKS! I went in this place and half the employees DID NOT HAVE MASKS ON. I confronted the manager, who rudely LIED and said "only cashiers are required to wear masks. Which is NOT True. I explained to her that some of those non mask employees could be asymptomatic and could spread Covid-19. This store is being completely careless with the Health of its customers.
I called the Health Department who confirmed all employees are required to wear masks. I also called the Southgate Police who said the same and that they would send a car over there to talk to the manager.
I also called Westborn Market, Sams Club and Target. All 3 managers confirmed they were told ALL Employees are required to wear a mask. I will be filing a complaint about Trentwood with the attorney general's office.
I will never go to Trentwood...
