Didn't know this was here but decided on one of my "day of culture" road trips. It's located on a side street next to the Post office and across from the Transportation museum.
Was given the audio tour but some of the audio didn't match the display shown.
I was happy to see a few toys I played with as a kid but guess I'm not that old as there weren't too many 😂
Definitely not a place if your child has to grab every toy they see and mostly would attract young girls for all the dolls inside. Big display of Barbie and Madame Alexander dolls. The boys can enjoy the toy train exhibit in the back. Maybe because I was the only person there it wasn't running. There are also under glass cases match box cars and tractor trailer toys but no DIY model cars.

Read moreWe were driving from n.c. to Florida and made a 2 1/2 hr detour to come to the museum. We stopped by wed night to get our bearings and double check hours and got a hotel for the night. We came to the museum this morning to see a sign in the door saying that it would not be open till one-very disappointing!!!!! Needless to say we could not hang around all day. The train museum across the street is lovely but had I known the doll museum would not be open I would have never made the detour. You'll find a memory at every turn, and the tour headset + staff, both full of history, are an added bonus. It's not just dolls, there's trains, planes, and structures too. I forgot about many of my own toys from long ago, then was delighted when I discovered one here and there. The staff was happy to run the train or share some of the dolls' secrets.
