Our little one wanted to hop on Percy train ride so bad that we packed up the truck and drove 8 hours for the Thomas and Percy day. The train rides were relaxing and enjoyable through the train yard. It was pretty sweet to ride up top in a caboose. And walking around through the train yard checking out the other trains and the massive museum kept us entertained for the rest the day. It was ashame the round house was closed for renovations but gives us an excuse to make the trip back.

The museum is getting ready for the polar Express which starts the The museum is getting ready for The Polar Express which starts the first in the beginning of November The beginning of November. Absolutely fantastic

Got a chance to attend this museum for the first time two weeks ago and I was amazed at how huge this place is!

There's everything from planes, automobiles, and of course lots and lots of trains! Just a heads up it can get a bit chilly inside certain parts of the roundhouse so dress accordingly.

Best time to attend is apparently when they have large events as they have more going on. Definitely a place I'd highly recommend to any...

The exhibits are top notch. It brings back many memories of field trips with my students as an NC NBCT educator and efforts as a ā€œcurriculum engineerā€ in 2017.
